You get the 10,000 Opal bag during the final mission, right after you defeat Patchy and Buster. Once defeated, if you go to the back of the arena you fought them in, there will be a metal door hidden in the rocks with a yellow button right above it. Use your laser to shoot it. Once shot, 4 more buttons will appear (the game shows you where they are.) After shooting all those buttons, the metal door will open up. Go through it and follow the path. The Opal bag will be at the end of the path.

Could you further clarify where this is? Final mission is Boss Cass, no? This game is confusing.

The final mission is called Cass’ Run (accessible from the plane) and the yellow button can be found on the 3rd large waterfall from the right. Once you hit the first button you have to hit the 4 revealed buttons within a certain time limit. These are scattered around the area but aren’t hard to find and the game gives you plenty of time to locate them. 3 are up high and one is at the side of the metal platform thing.
