Depending on your items and level up choices you may need to adjust and this can probably be done fairly easy earlier than the last achievement like I did but anyway I ran with the below units;
3x hierophant
3-4x death knight
3x giant
any spare command cap was filled with wraiths (approx 6-7)
Necrodome with this setup was a breeze, think I had 1 unit die altogether through all 5 waves.
It was also pretty much my setup for the entirety of the last region (citadel), I used scorpions until death knights were unlocked.
