Acquirable from Day 14.
Story spoilers:
Oil traces appear on the map as a purple teardrop. They look like grey coral/alien like blobs. You can clean them by getting close and holding
(make sure you're close enough before pressing it, or you'll activate the camera/repair/refuel that you have selected).
Simply clean up 50 of these for the achievement. There are waaaaay more than 50 on the map, and more spawn each day after this. I'd recommend not rushing this too much - on day 16 you are given routine tasks that total cleaning up ~17 anyway.
As a bonus they sometimes leave behind coal (that you need for some upgrades and crafting)
