To craft potions you'll need to unlock Baba the Alchemist. To do that you need to help her assistant Beltrame find three mushrooms for her lunch. All three mushrooms can be found in the Goldmines (the first few levels just under the town). They are randomized in each run and do not all have to be collected in the same run. In no particular order:
- The nightshade is in a secret room (look for yellow sparkles on a wall and bomb it). Once inside, you'll see a sign instructing you to destroy all light sources in the room. Once you've done so, the nightshade will appear.
- The blastcap is a blue mushroom surrounded by blast marks on the ground. Bomb the mushroom to collect it.
- The shiitake is in a room with Matsutake (big talking mushroom). Clear the room of enemies and Matsutake will give you the shiitake.
Once you have all 3, you have to find Beltrame in the Goldmines and hand them over. The next time you're in town, he will unlock the door to Baba's potion shop. Like the blacksmith does with relics, she can craft new potions for you with thorium. You'll have to find blueprints for these down in the dungeons. The cheapest ones are around 10 thorium; craft one and this cheevo will pop.
