You can get hints by pressing Y. For this achievement, make sure you do not.
It does not appear to count the very first puzzle, where it tells you that hitting Y will give you a hint. I hit Y here (multiple times) and the achievement still popped when I escaped.
To be on the safe side, though, avoid hitting Y even in this room.

I hit y on accident half way through the game but immediately went to the dashboard and quit the game, when I finished the game I still got the achievement

I playes this game with friends and one of them accidently clicked on Y because they didn't knew anything about this achievement. But I still got it after the end of the game :)

To get this achievement, you need to go through the entire game without pressing Y to receive a hint even a single time. If you accidentally hit Y you can dashboard and quit out of the game, but if you hit Y just before crossing a save point and it saves, you'll have to start the game over. The above video shows all the game's achievements, including this one, in order.

At the end of the game, you can get one of two different trophies. You can continue from the end to get the other trophy.
I mention this because I ONLY got this trophy the second time I completed the ending. When I earned

. This shows a different version of the credits, and the trophies came at the beginning of the credits this way. It's possible the other ending will not award this trophy.

Simply complete the base game (not extended) without pressing 
at all. You're allowed to press it at the very start, when it tells you about the hints. But to play it safe, I'd just avoid the button completely. THIS INCLUDES DURING THE CREDITS.
If you, like me, hit the button during the credits trying to spam everything to skip them, don't panic! Just hit continue from the main menu, and when you complete the game again it should pop.
