How to unlock the Inner Peace achievement in Unmechanical: Extended - Definitive Guide
This is easiest to do with a long metal beam. Just keep it on your head for 10 seconds and the achievement will unlock immediately.
It's possible to do with a rock, but far more difficult.
Per the suggestion of Krazie x360a, you might want to try the movable mirrors instead. Despite being inside spheres, they do not actually roll around and remain perfectly stationary. You may find it easier to balance these on your head for 10 seconds.
This video from "aka Scratch" demonstrates this achievement with a metal bar that actually touches the floor, though the mirrors in spheres are easier choices.

I had a hard time with the beam myself. I found the movable mirrors later in the game extremely easy to keep balanced.

True. I've edited that in with credit to you. Thanks!

You could try using a metal beam, but it is way more difficult than using this large ball. Trust me, I tried to do it with a metal beam, but it was simply way too difficult, then I tried it with the ball in the video, and I got it in my first try.
Here is an extra tip to go with the other solutions. I can confirm that you CAN use walls to help you balance whatever item you are trying to balance. In other words, hover next to a wall, then get your item of choice on your head, then let the object lean on said wall while balancing, wait ten seconds, and presto. Much easier!

This is what i did. At the start of the game with the pile of rocks moved them so they would roll on my head and leaned into the wall achievement popped in no time

While searching for the first energy sphere for the giant heart in the level Pacemaker, you will come across a puzzle that requires you to use some small mirrors that are inside of a transparent ball. As these mirrors are part of a puzzle that requires exact placing, the object is very stable, so you can use that for your advantage, making this achievement extremely easy. Watch it:
This is easiest done by balancing the 'pot' that you use to grab water for the puzzle below the coal/furnace puzzle in Chapter 3. Check the video above at timestamp 0:18:22 to see this one.
This may be helpful for anyone struggling with this achievement. After an hour of attempting every online solution I came across for this achievement, I finally found a way to get it to unlock.
Near the beginning of the game, there is a part where you use a rock to block a tube in order to get a red ball to fall out. You then have to remove a load of rocks blocking the red switch (that only the red ball can reach). After using the red ball to turn on the switch to open up the door you have to go downwards through a green laser beam. This laser only lets you through.
I put one of the larger rocks on top of the laser beam and hovered underneath it - balancing the rock on my head. After a few minutes of me trying it unlocked!
I hope this helps anyone struggling with this achievement like I was
