Even though is says without touching anything, you can touch it again yourself. I threw mine and it wasn't going to go in so I just flew down a bit at the last second and sorta alley ooped it in myself and it still gave me the achievement!

I actually threw the piece of coal like in the video and went in but it hit the wall on the right of the furnace before and still unlocked the achievement! So, you can call bank or game (Paul Pierce reference..)!

This achievement sucks. 30 minutes of gameplay I have to do over because the game won't let you pause and quit out when you mess up?!

Can confirm, hitting it with your head still counts. Was on the sixth piece of coal and was dreading playing again from the start. Thought I'd try the head trick and it worked!

I also got it by using my head on my 11th try. Yes I had to replay....

touched the wall and went in. Achievement unlocked.
balanced metal girder for 30 seconds. No achievement.

Thanks for this solution, I was trying the method shown in the Walkthrough video & actually got 5 of the 6 in but either the 3secs or wall/rim hits made it not pop so I was getting rather worried & so I went looking for other metods & the 1st time I tried this one, it went in clean & finally popped yaaay

I strongly recommend practicing a few times with the bombs first, before using the coals. You can do this achievement as Scratch's video above shows, but you also can hit it in with your body/head if the coal starts going straight downward instead of to the right. I find this method easier than the (Korbe Gaming) Walkthrough video's method.

Thanks for sharing this video with us! Worked like a treat first try, after numerous attempts with the "swing" method.

Tried it with bomb couple times no probs, tried with coal and was dropping short so headed it in..pop.

Did this method and got it first attempt. I overcompensated and it actually hit both the back wall and the rim but still gave it to me. Thanks!

Head bounce was the key for me. 4th piece, was going way too left so I just hit it to send it back to the right and so I got the achievement.

Got it on my first attempt. The coal bounced in off the edge of the furnace and still counted

Yes, much thanks for the save game trick. I somehow completely bunked my first 6 tries, deleted my local save, resynced from the cloud yadda yadda yadda...came back to the game and made it on my first try after returning...go figure huh... lol

For anyone stuck with this, You can delete your local save and resync from the cloud to prevent having to replay the game. Just make sure you don't exit the game before you delete your local save.

Steps (Whilst in game):
1. Press Xbox button
2. Press menu button over Unmechanical: Extended
3. Navigate to manage game & add-ons

Steps (Manage game & add-ons):
4. Navigate to saved data
5. Over the saved data press menu button
6. Press delete from console
7. If saved data is still there repeat steps 5 to 7.
8. Press xbox button and press Home

Steps (Home)
9. Launch Unmechanical: Extended

Steps (Unmechanical: Extended)
10. Press Menu and The save data will sync
11. Press Continue.


Should you miss the achievement, you can rinse and repeat steps 1 to 11.
