Game Mode: Partner
Game Speed: Normal
Number of Cards: 16
Scoring Type: Running
Target Score: 250
Command Cards: On
Wilds: Traditional
Draw Type: Draw
Draw Penalties: Standard
Auto Call UNO: Off
Have every time the false colour or the false number on your hand, so that you won´t play a card, get so much cards you can get in the end they will count together and you`ll get the achievement if you and your partner collect enough cards.

I actually did it on Normal as on slow it takes forever.

If you have 4 controllers simply play a custom game of Elimination.
Set it to fast play with 16 cards. All you have to do is make sure you play a card on you turn and leave the other 3 players to be eliminated and the achievement will pop.

i don't know if it is because of a patch or other but the achievement don't unlock on partner mode but only on standard;
for unlock it don't throw any card just stock so much card u can and let the cpu win and at the end of the match u will take point for all the card u have in the hand so is easy do 250+

Just play house rule games and make sure you have the following options:
Game Type- Elimination
Scoring Type- Traditional
Target Scoring- 250 (or more)
On Traditional Scoring, the winning player's points are determined by the total value of your opponent's cards. It is easier to do this on elimination, so go for this while you go for the "Party of One" achievement. Its easier to do using the multiplayer strategy.
