This achievement is unlocked from ignoring stations at the end of the levels and continuing on.
What this means is you have to keep placing tracks down past the station and up to the end of the screen. This will keep the train going and you will not stop to be able to upgrade your train.
Also this is a accumulative achievement and doesn't have to be done in one run. So every time you play in the early distances when you have a few tracks piled ahead then maybe skip the odd few.
