How to unlock the Like the back of my hand achievement in Unreal Tournament 3 - Definitive Guide

If you follow these two guides, you will get the achievement. These are both 100% complete. When you do manage to get all powerups for a level, a white box will pop-up from the bottom of the screen telling you that you have.

PowerUp/Armor Locations (credit to 'Ashley B Sivorn'):
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=81...

Health Vial Locations (including items missing from the above guide)(credit to 'Jonesy999'):
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=82...

Happy hunting!

Update: x360a user 'Str8up_wizard' has compiled the above information into one handy guide. I am currently using it and it sure beats using two separate guides!

Find it here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=83...

Note: You DON'T have to play against bots (or a second controller), it can be in either Multiplayer or Instant Action (I'd choose one or the other game types, don't mix it up, but it should still work either way) and you DON'T have to finish match for the "All Powerups Found" to count.

Easiest way I found to get all the items is to set up a 60 minute Instant Action match with no bots (so you're by yourself) and just go through the whole level with the above guide collecting all the items.

**PLEASE NOTE**
You don't have to finish the match. Once the message for collecting all items pops-up, you and press Start and then press Y to quit the match. This will save plenty of time on the larger levels.

Pro Tip: Turning on the "Low Gravity" Mutator will help getting those hard to reach items.

Also, to see if you've already got the all the Powerups for a map, press Start while on the map and then RB or LB to select the GAME tab. If you have all the powerups for that level, it will say "All powerups found!" in the bottom left corner.

According to TA member "HaloHore2000": "for maps that have more than one version such as torlan you only need to play the original and the necris version. This saves a lot of time."

Update: I have just unlocked the achievement and can confirm you don't need the items/powerups on these levels (all from Warfare):
-Avalanche Two Fronts
-Downtown Two Fronts
-Dusk Free Mine
-Torlan Double Prime
-Torlan Classic
-Torlan Short

All other levels in the game must be completed for this achievement. The achievement will unlock as soon as you pick up the last item, you don't have to finish the match.

I can confirm that you don't need to finish a match after getting all power ups. Once the message pops up, you can quit out to the main menu.

I agree with all of you just wanted to add that it is a lot easier to get all the health vials on Rising Sun if you turn on the "Low Gravity" Mutator.

i just want to mention that on Rails for VCTF, its not mentioned that a pair of jump boots and invisibility come through the river in the middle of the map on a boat.

I was following the guide and couldnt understand why the 'All powerups found' wasnt popping up, as i flew back to the blue base i noticed the boat going past and grab the 2 power ups.

There are a whole heap of Items missing from the guides on x360a (at least when I did it). It's a shame they didn't complete them. Still, I only used the info from there myself and I managed to get the achievement =).

Also I am finding that you must find all these power ups and vials in the same game. It can't be a few here and then get to another match and a few more on another play thru.. you must collect all items in a single match, otherwise you won't get the message.

I don't have this yet, but I did just get "All powerups found" on Facing Worlds with Super Powerups disabled - meaning I only had to get two helmets and two armors. This might be a shortcut!

I also got the achievement in Instant Action. I used the "Powerups Disabled" mutator, like Dr. Moravia suggested, for all VCTF and Warfare maps. Saves a lot of time!

Using the TA Walkthrough worked perfectly for me. I paired that with the document Red Thunder shared as a checklist (two comments above).

You can save a lot of time by playing all maps with the No Super Powers mutator on. This means you only need to get Vials, Armor, Helmets, and Thigh Pads.

This works on all maps EXCEPT Cold Harbor and Power Surge.

For these two maps, I had to turn off the No Super Power pickups mutator and actually collect the items. This is because these maps do not have any items to pickup except for Super Power pickups.

- Collect until you see "All powerups found" popup - You can check this when you pause the game under the 'game' tab, it'll say the same thing.

- Do all maps in this link (except darkmatch, edin inc. & turbine) - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SdOXwpYKSru8tDvNyfIuL-Yv... (link originally posted by Red Thunder 86) You only need to do the original version & necris version of every multi-version map.

- Use No Super Powers mutator so you only need Health Vials, Helmet, Armor & Thigh Pads (except for Cold harbor and Power Surge, do naturally)

- *****You want to quit out of the game after each game mode to ensure it is still tracking progress*****

- (OPTIONAL) You can quit out of DUEL but I personally did not for CTF, VCFT & WARFARE

I know personally whats its like to mess this up as I couldnt get it to unlock many years ago. Even this time my friend did the exact same as me and didnt get it to unlock when mine did... I had connection issues and had to reload the game a lot so I believe the stat tracking to stop if you don't do this. Worked fine for me though on a fresh save using these methods. Best of luck!

EDIT: My friend found a map that didn't track and unlocked it after recollecting them.

Hey guys, need to let you know that the videos have been taken down.

I am in the process of making new ones/trying to find new ones.

Please hold out a little. Thanks.

Its fair enough using the above guides although we all know how boring it can get reading guides playing reading more etc etc.

I know I tried to use one of them but got fed up with reading and trying to figure out where all the power ups are. It just took far to long.

I decided to browse the net and came over some lovely youtube videos with a walkthrough on every map to the locations of all power ups.

These are recorded on the PC version but they are exactly the same.

The link is here - http://www.youtube.com/user/ExcretumNecris

The videos are perfect high quality and can play full screen if you wish. Only shame is the music although thats what the volume and mute buttons are for.

Set your game up as usual to provide no hassle.

Player Match
Max Players - 2
Min Players - 1
Private Slots - 2

Bot Combatants - Disabled (This means you will be running around the map with no one bothering you)

Goal Score - Doesnt matter (You can just quit out when you have found all the power ups)

Time Limit - 15mins to be on the safe side. (None took me more than the 10 minute mark)

Use the Speed Freak mutator all the time to travel faster.
Also use the Low Gravity where you can. You will not be able to use it with VCTF and Warfare.

Please note that when the message appears in the game for all Power Ups collected you can just disconnect/quit from the game and it will save your progress.

Enjoy

Thanks for unearthing this. As a side note, the link provided in the guide currently points to the user's channel. If you want to jump straight to the UT3 playlist, you can use this one instead:

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDCF95FC9D05763C5

Since the playlist denotes what videos you have already watched, you can use it as a secondary means of tracking your progress. This can be helpful for anyone who doesn't want to do every level in one sitting, which will take a minimum of about 2-3 hours.

Hi guys! I'm posting this guide because I stumbled across it online while searching for a video guide to this achievement.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SdOXwpYKSru8tDvNyfIuL-Yv...

Like the other text guide already posted, this one isn't complete; however, it does have information that the other guide is missing. For example, in the Rails VCTF map, it explains where and how to get the invisibility and 3rd set of jump boots on the boats that periodically float down the river. The guide posted in the other solution is missing that information, which would make finishing that map very frustrating. So, I'm tossing this on TA in the hope that it helps some folks out.

I take no credit for this guide, I just found it. All credit for creating it should go to DeathConvoy and Jolercles.

Note: You should save the guide as a PDF to avoid the silly "please reload" error that seems to pop up over and over.

UPDATE:
I found this page (text guide) on the TA walkthrough. It seems pretty detailed and relatively complete: https://www.trueachievements.com/walkthroughpage.aspx?pageid...

* Please note that this achievement is unobtainable. The achivement was glitched on release and has not been patched.

This is going to take a long time as there are loads of maps. This link will help: POWER UP LOCATIONS.

It appears the German version of the game has a slightly different description for this achievement, which states "(shield, health)" after the initial portion, so this will take a lot longer than expected. The thread above should be updated when it is confirmed.
