How to unlock the Never Saw it Coming achievement in Unreal Tournament 3 - Definitive Guide
From the main menu set up a Deathmatch multiplayer match on the "Heat Ray" map.
You could get this more easily with another controller as you don't have to be worried about getting attacked.
Find the Invisibility power up on the map and wait for it to spawn stand where it spawns and then do other things until you get it.
This powerup is located on a ledge: From the rocket launcher use the boost pad and continue up the stairs into the building, follow a corridors over a few wooden planks and drop down onto ledge.
It takes super powerups around 90 seconds to respawn. So set the match time 45 mins – 1 Hour.

An EASIER way is to play the CTF map Searchlight. There are two and easy to get. They are close to the Rocket Launcher and before you go near them. So if you go past the Rocket Launcher, youve gone too far, they would be to the left if you are facing the RL and they would be on a ledge going down.
PS the reason why there are two is because there is one on each side near the flags :p. HAPPY FINDINGS

Set up a match CTF-Searchlight in instant action with No bots. by setting max players to 1.
this is far quicker than DM-Heat_Ray.
As it has 2 invisibility powerups which are both located on the courtyards with the statue.on both sides of the map.

I believe both heat-ray map solutions offer the "get-it-while-not-playing" option. This requires you to troop back and forth across a map for half an hour :s

yeah but you get it quicker this way and you have to do something instead of standing in the same place.

Start up a Deathmatch game on "Heat Ray" and set the number of players to 1. This will make you the only person in the game, with no fear of dying while you are away. Find the invisibility powerup, stand on it, and find something to do for an hour or so. On "Heat Ray", the invisibility is found by using the boostpad near the rocket launcher. Follow the stairs up, go through the halls, and follow the path until you drop down through a hole.
Alternatively, instead of letting your xbox sit idle, you can play this map with bots, timing the invisibility while you play, and get other achievements in the process.

What no one seems to realize is that this is a set-and-forget achievement.
I noticed people are talking about Deathmatch--Objective games are easier, as those have Overtime--the game lasts forever until someone scores.
So, for Invisibility, another place to do this would be on Warfare's Power Surge. 1 player, 1 score to win, time limit doesn't matter. If you want, use Speed Freak to get there faster. Head to the Mine Node(where that big-ass vehicle base is) and underneath is an Invisibility Power-up. Stand on the pedestal.
Set And Forget.
When you come back(from whatever you're doing at home) finish the game and boom.

Same as "Seeing Red" but with the Invisibility powerup.
