How to unlock the Master Emerald achievement in Unruly Heroes - Definitive Guide
When the game came out you needed to collect all the coins, have 2 deaths or less and finish under the time requirement. After an update you now only have to beat the time requirement but they lowered that time requirement A LOT. The Twitter account says you only have to beat the time but I’ve had two people tell me you also cannot die a bunch and get emerald rank. Update: From the comments it appears you can only die 2-3 times but there's no way to know the level requirement.
Just some tips, learn what fighters do best against a certain enemy like the jump attack with the monkey is best for flying enemies.
Try and get a special saved with as many characters as you can to end tougher fights quickly. I found specials against bosses were not useful and could even do less damage than a regular attack. I would use a special against a large group of enemies to save a ton of time.
In some areas you can throw enemies using the B button so if an environmental kill is available use it.
They added difficulties to each level and I would just note emerald rank can only be done in normal or hard mode so pick normal.
Here are the times you need to beat on every level...

Is this so difficult that nobody has unlocked this achievement on TA?
By VAS taijyn on 03 Jun 2019 17:11
No, the people on TA are amazing I know some could do it. I will say it is very difficult because of time and I’ve only completed the first 8 levels, probably the easiest in the game.
It was taking me so long to cut time on easy levels, I would think of the harder levels later in the game and just decided I’d rather move on.

Hey guys, I wanted to throw some of the more major tips in for this achievement. It’s not the hardest achievement out there, it deserves maybe a 6 ratio at best. You can die up to 3 times and need to beat the time limit in each level. Here are some tips
1) combat: I think this is the most daunting part of the game. I recommend using the monkey as much as possible and if he dies, use the pig. The other 2 characters are last resort options.
The combo is very straightforward. You have a dash button and an attack button. Use the dash to extend Combos and bridge small gaps to get your I-frames in and spam X,X,X,X with the monkey when you need to fight an enemy. Only fight enemies that are required for progression. For the bosses, you’ll want to learn their patterns and make very efficient use of your dash/jump cancels. For the first boss for example, you are required to extend your combos as much as possible by jumping once into an X button spam, jump a second time and spam X, and dash then spam X. If you use this at the right time you’ll get max damage and can skip a phase to save those precious seconds. In terms of general enemies, your down-X attack is very useful. It stuns the enemies and locks them into place for a second.
2) Platforming: Spam dash at every second and keep pushing forward. Some levels may get you caught off guard because often times you can skip an entire section with the floaty characters drift + dash, such as to skip the second ship section in the third world. If you’re ever falling short on a level multiple times in a row and need help, there is a Spanish video on YouTube for each worlds emerald ranks. I needed help on a level in world 3 and some on world 4. All in all I didn’t find this game to have any genuinely difficult sections when compared to most other high ratio platformers.
3) Bosses: there seems to be a lot of worry over the boss fights when in reality they are a happy change of pace and tend to be a quick breather for the emerald ranks. The bosses are all about extending your X combo as long as you can and finding every way to get those extra hits in. My tips in the combat section are all you need. The first boss is likely the hardest, the second I don’t remember and the third is very easy. The fourth boss is currently preloaded.
As it goes for all high ratios, practice, practice, practice! Some levels will take a few tries. Space out your runs to avoid frustration and remember to look at the video guide on YouTube if you hit a wall. Thanks!

Is there any guide on YouTube for all levels? I have found only for the 3rd and 4th worlds:(

You’re right man, I thought the guy had videos for all levels but it’s only world 3 and 4 actually. As of now, I don’t believe so
