This achievement is not part of the story. Basically in Downtown, you have to climb all the way up on the Cathedral (on the outside) and pay de money to enter (1000). Then, when you meet M, choose to take his lifeforce twice and then you will need to defeat him. The battle will get faster and faster and it's important to block and stun him when he melee attacks you for extra damage.

If you sacrifice another character before sacrificing M you will lose the option to sacrifice and fight M
