After Niug starts glowing allow him to grab you towards the middle or bottom of the area and he'll throw you onto an higher floor with a pillar collapsing on top of you, defeat him up here on MS difficulty for the achievement. Be careful as you can fall back down to the first area.
This can be very challenging on your first playthrough, it's much easier to achieve if you come back after completing the game at which point he shouldn't pose any problems.

ok so i just started the game and would like to be efficient, i did the Niug counters only on MS, but avoided this one to make it easier, is there a way to redo this boss without doing a Start Over? is there a chapter select later on? or am i doomed?
