Well this guide took forever to get out. Better late than never, I guess.
This will be one of the last achievements you’ll get in the game, if not the last courtesy of the enemy Passive Souls being (mostly) RNG drops. We’ve got a whopping 60 Passive Souls to go for to get this, 34 of them you’ll find across the 5 Acts, 24 you’ll find from enemies across the Acts, and 2 extra Passive Souls found in the Abyss. This is gonna be a big guide, so apologies for errors (particularly in Act 5), as I’m working off of memory for a good portion of this. As a word of reference, the hidden shenanigans guarding stage Passive Souls tend to be identified with the Greek letter Ψ and will be frequently referred to here. In addition, any Passive Soul that unlocks a skill will be given an * next to it as identification, as you’ll need most of them for one of the Abyss Passive Souls. I’ll also be ordering these with a mixture of the order in which they can appear and their chronological appearance in the Passive Soul collection (so enemy Passive Souls first and then the ones you can find in that Act). Some further information before we get underway:
Enemy Passive Souls in my experience are best grinded on Master Soul difficulty, they seem to be much more likely to drop on that difficulty compared to easy.
I found that once I got to a couple Passive Souls to go the game would forget the most recently collected one upon starting the game up again. I would recommend getting your last 6 or so in one sitting to prevent this from possibly happening.
Stage Passive Souls in the Acts will be put in a censored box so that you can just get to the Act of Stage Passive Souls you want to know the locations of.
The Soul of Kamas, Soul of Lyuh, and Soul of a Dummy enemy Passive Souls have a guaranteed drop rate.
Rare enemies will have specified locations.
Alright, we should be good to go. Let’s get started.
INTRODUCTION – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of a Nameless Worker (1/60) – You realistically will not get this in the Introduction, you’ll have to grind out the prison arena in Act 5 for this.
INTRODUCTION – Stage Passive Souls
1. Soul of Azkah (2/60) – Unmissable, I’m simply putting this here for consistency in numbering.
ACT 1 – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of Linot Infantry (3/60) • Soul of a Linot Archer (4/60) • Soul of a Nalub Assassin (5/60)
ACT 1 – Stage Passive Souls
1. Soul of Ukok (6/60) and Soul of Nisav (7/60) – The first two stage souls in this Act are at the very start, for the first one move upwards until you run into the very first enemy. After taking him out, move left to find a miniature pillar with a red Ψ on it. Attack the rocks right below it and you’ll find a Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul. Immediately after obtaining the Soul of Ukok, head up till you find a pillar you can use Soul Focusing on. At that point, head down to the left and attack about the middle of the pillars to create a path to a corpse with the soul.
2. Soul of Inpot (8/60) – At this point, go through the Act as normal until you passed the bridge and reached the Gradiva statue surrounded by Roman-esque structures and a gate just ahead. Head left instead of to the gate and you’ll find a rubble of rocks and two big rectangular rocks, the first with a Ψ. Head left through the rubble and the corpse with the soul will be found on the path.
3. Soul of Niug (9/60) – This is the boss Passive Soul of Act 1. After Niug activates his Active Soul, if he grabs you without being at the top of the arena, Niug will throw you up to the upper floor. Once you’ve defeated him here, you’ll be able to absorb the Passive Soul from the Gradiva statue on said floor, to the left.
ACT 2 – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of a Nalub Dancer (10/60) • Soul of a Nalub Assassin (Female) (11/60) • Soul of a Iznuch Guard (12/60)
ACT 2 – Stage Passive Souls
1. Soul of Pugnas (13/60) – When you reach the first checkpoint Gradiva statue there will be a big rock to your left that has the Ψ symbol engraved on it. Enter it from the right and head left till you find the Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul; note that you will need to hit down 2/3 invisible barricades to reach it, so if you don’t seem to be moving, just press an attack button.
2. Soul of Oikuz (14/60) – After your first encounter with a female Nalub Assassin (black clothes and usually does ranged attacks), head to the right-most house-esque structure you see; it should have a Ψ engraved on it. Use Charge Slash next to the house to break an invisible grate and head down to find a corpse with the Passive Soul in a small building.
3. Soul of Eznas (15/60) and Soul of Nunuch (16/60) – The next wave of enemies after getting the Soul of Oikuz should include one with a Ψ over their head. Kill this enemy to make sure nothing here goes wrong. Upon reaching the little castle, head all the way right and then down to go up a staircase. When you make it to the top you will receive a button prompt, press it. Enter the little castle and in the second room you’ll find a corpse with the first Passive Soul to the left of the room. For the second, go a little to the right to a cracked wall with the Ψ symbol. Attack it and go through where it used to stand, a corpse with the second Passive Soul will be there.
4. Soul of Napmis* (19/60) – The corpse with this Passive Soul is found in a combat room with a Gradiva checkpoint statue and two doors; one open, one locked. The corpse is in the middle of the room, and is hard to miss.
5. Soul of Ichnuch (17/60) – Before the room where you get the Soul of Napmis, there will be an area with two wells. Ignore them, clear that area of enemies, and move on to the room with the Soul of Napmis. The right door will open. Go to the far-left section of the room following the door, go up all the way and you should find a tile on the wall with a Ψ; use Soul Burst on it. This will drain the water in the room, allowing you to interact with the corpse on the right of the room for the Passive Soul.
6. Soul of Iuhum (18/60) – When you reach the aforementioned area with two wells, immediately destroy the right one (Soul Slash spam is recommended) and knock two enemies into the left one. This will open the door on the left in the next room. Go through two more rooms after the door; in the second you’ll see a corpse with the Passive Soul, you can’t miss it.
7. Soul of Irus (20/60) – This is the normal boss Passive Soul for Act 2. Immediately when the fight starts repeatedly use dash attacks to knock Irus against the wall behind her to enter her special arena. Upon defeating her here, go up to find a Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul.
8. Soul of Kamas (21/60) – This is the secret boss Passive Soul for Act 2. From where you acquired the Soul of Iuhum, go to the bottom-right corner of the room and strike it to a reveal a new pathway, go through it to find a Soul Orb-giving Gradiva statue that can be used to pass the sandstorm right up ahead. Pass it to find a checkpoint Gradiva statue and Kamas. Defeating him will earn you the Passive Soul.
ACT 3 – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of a Nooggnom Swordsman (22/60) • Soul of a Nooggnom Spearman (23/60) • Soul of a Muk Noble Woman (24/60) • Soul of a Muk Mage (25/60) • Soul of a Poison Damsel (26/60) – You can either find this enemy in Act 5 or with the Twisted Soul route in this Act.
ACT 3 – Stage Passive Souls
1. Soul of Itas (27/60) – From the first checkpoint Gradiva statue, go down until you see a big lake and a path to the left with one of the holdings having a Ψ. Go there, head up, and hold to interact with the partially hidden Soul Totem (personally created name) and open the invisible wall. Head left till you find the corpse with the Passive Soul.
2. Soul of Namarb (28/60) – Right after your first battle with a Mage is over, go upper-left to a ‘room’ with hay and a sign etched onto the right wall with a Ψ. Hit the right wall to get to a plain where a corpse with the Passive Soul is waiting.
3. Soul of Tilad* (29/60) – Upon reaching the next Gradiva statue (provided you’re taking the normal route), go onto the wooden plank and the rocky wall, at which point go downwards in the middle of that wall segment. You’ll fall down into a room of enemies and a corpse with the Passive Soul.
4. Soul of Ezech (30/60) – From the same Gradiva checkpoint statue, walk across the wall until you see a patch of grass with a Mage, a corpse, and a couple other enemies. Find a glowing patch in the lower part of the wall that has no safeguard and dash down. Defeat all the enemies and interact with the corpse for the Passive Soul (make sure the Mage isn’t hit off the area or else you’ll have to restart to the checkpoint).
5. Soul of Gnazubag (31/60) – Continuing along the route you’ll find yourself in a boat section where you have to fight off enemies and keep it moving. Do so slowly once you hear beeping. When you can see a corpse on a high-up platform that can be interacted with via Soul Focusing, use it when the boat interlines with the corpse for it to land on the boat.
6. Soul of EozIrdo (32/60) – After completing the boat section and reaching the next Gradiva statue you’ll find yourself in a forest maze section. From the starting area with Linot Infantry, take the following directions: north, east, north, north, east, east. You’ll be in an area with a corpse that has the Passive Soul after following those directions.
7. Soul of Koymat* (33/60), Soul of Inah (34/60), and Soul of Koblus (35/60) – Play the Act from the start again until you reach a castle door of sorts that can be interacted with via Soul Focusing. Instead of doing so, go through the gate and into the building. You’ll find a corpse who’s Passive Soul you cannot absorb (yet) and shortly after a series of rooms with Soul Totems that have to be interacted with to move forward. Go through all the rooms how you’ll wish, and you’ll find a corpse with the first Passive Soul of the 3 in the last room, you can’t really miss him. After passing that room, you’ll enter one with a checkpoint Gradiva statue and another corpse with the second Passive Soul. Now you must return to the corpse in the building, but keep in mind that there will be a bunch of enemies once you’re out of the Soul Totem rooms. Once they’re taken care of, you can enter the building and absorb the Passive Soul, but keep in mind you will not be able to recharge your stamina passively until Act 5 as a result.
8. Soul of Lad (36/60) – This is the boss Passive Soul of Act 3. Before Lad comes in to destroy the Gradiva statue in the arena, make a note of the pillar to the upper-right of the statue and have Lad destroy it with his lightning arrows. After this, fight him normally until he activates his Active Soul. Now you’ll have to stand your ground against Lad until he uses an attack that involves him flying up and crashing down. If he hits the ground where the pillar resided (identified with a Ψ) you’ll enter Lad’s special arena. Defeat him, then go to the upper-left of the arena for a Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul.
ACT 4 – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of Lam Infantry (37/60) • Soul of a Lam Gunner (38/60) • Soul of an Oikuoy Scholar (39/60) • Soul of Lam Special Forces (40/60) • Soul of a Loez Monk (41/60) – You can only find these enemies past the sealed door at the end of the Act.
ACT 4 – Stage Passive Souls
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST 5,500 CURRENCY SOULS TO AVOID HAVING TO GRIND THEM OUT IN THIS ACT.
1. Soul of Nuznis (42/60) – At the start of the Act, you will find a random yellow Soul Totem around to the left of the area. Hold on it and eventually (provided you have enough currency souls) two infinitely respawning Lam Infantry will jump in. Hold A on the Soul Totem until it is yellow again, then go right to a Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul.
2. Soul of Gach (43/60) – The second time you meet the first Oikuoy Scholar head to the upper-right building and through it until you are no longer moving, then use Charge Slash to eliminate a piece of grate. Head right to the gate to find a corpse with the Passive Soul. THIS GATE CLOSES ONCE THE ENCOUNTER IS COMPLETED.
3. Soul of Ibon (44/60) – Immediately after that encounter is finished, go through the gate to the left to find a house. Go into it, and kill all the enemies to avoid getting distracted. Look for a bench on the left side of the house with a Ψ on it, and hit down the wall next to it once sighted to find a corpse with the Passive Soul.
4. Soul of Sagsas (46/60) and Soul of Uscob* (45/60) – In the first area with a Lam Special Forces you’ll find that there are various barriers surrounding the buildings kept up by Soul Totems. Take care of all of them, and you’ll find both corpses with the Passive Souls in the area, you shouldn’t miss them.
5. Soul of Gnasnwag (47/60) - Nearly immediately after reaching the next checkpoint Gradiva statue you’ll find a house with two corpses in it (you’ll be able to tell it’s the right one if you’re being shot at by Lam Gunners). The corpse in the bottom-left corner of the house has the Passive Soul. (Massive thanks to Juif for reminding me of the location.)
6. Soul of Nugnus* (48/60) – The corpse with this Passive Soul is found in the last stretch before the normal boss of this Act immediately after the next checkpoint Gradiva statue in plain sight.
7. Soul of Asgnob (49/60) – Right before the normal boss of this Act, you’ll find a small building with a blue glow around it. Enter it at the top from the right to get in and find the corpse with the Passive Soul.
8. Soul of Gnar (50/60) – This is the normal boss Passive Soul of Act 4. When the fight starts, dash to the wall behind Gnar in his introduction and stay there until he hits you into it and takes you to his special arena. Defeat him here, and head up for a Gradiva statue with the Passive Soul.
9. Soul of Lyuh (51/60) – This is the secret boss Passive Soul of Act 4. After absorbing the Active Soul Kamas was guarding in Act 2, head all the way to before the normal boss of this Act but instead of heading to the boss, head to a sealed gate. Interact with it and it’ll open. From here you’ll go through a linear sequence of combat encounters and at the end you’ll find Lyuh. Defeat her for the Passive Soul.
10. Soul of Everything* (52/60) – After obtaining the Active Soul Lyuh was guarding, complete Act 5 to obtain the true ending and Ammu’s Active Soul. After that, return to the sealed gate in this Act and open it again, then go through the first 3 Monks until you reach the bell, then ring it 8 times. This will allow it to be interacted with via Soul Focusing, do so. This will create multiple bumps; go to the first one that’s to the left of the former bell’s location, and activate the Soul of Ammu (with its neutral function, not directional) to enter the Tomb of Everything. You’ll find a grave in there with the Passive Soul.
ACT 5 – Enemy Passive Souls
• Soul of a Cathedral Knight (53/60) • Soul of a High Priest (54/60)
ACT 5 – Stage Passive Souls
1. Soul of Odasig (55/60) – After the prison encounter, you’ll come across a checkpoint Gradiva statue and some grate. Take it out with Charge Slash and go through the section to find a corpse with the Passive Soul.
2. Soul of Kognean (56/60) – In the next room (or maybe a bit later) you’ll come across a room with two High Priests and some ice at the top of the area. After finishing the encounter, hack at the ice repeatedly with Triple Slash followed by Dash Slash in succession until it breaks. Go through it to find the corpse with the Passive Soul.
3. Soul of Azkignus (57/60) – Once you reach an open room with ice peppered throughout, go the bottom-right corner and hit it to take out the invisible barricade. Go through the section to find the corpse with the Passive Soul.
4. Soul of Irmis Atem (58/60) – In the same room, head up to where there is a checkpoint Gradiva statue and go up into a room with enemies. Clear them all out, then hold A to the blue books in the right-most bookshelf to open a door. Go through it and interact with the bed to cleanse the Soul of Koblus’/Twisted Soul’s debuff and obtain this Passive Soul (though do note that you may need the Soul of Koblus to obtain this one). (Yuumeda has reported this Passive Soul not being earned upon interacting with the bed so be ready to delete your local save and sync up to your cloud save if needed.)
There is no boss Passive Soul for this Act.
Abyss Passive Souls
1. Soul of the God of Combos* (59/60) – This will be automatically earned upon completing all 16 sample combos in the Abyss. Provided you have unlocked all of the other skill Passive Souls (except the Soul of Everything for Dual Sword Flash) and have upgraded them all to at least level 2 (and maxed out the Soul Orbs upgrades) you’ll be able to go for all of them. Refer to the training videos if you need assistance with doing them.
2. Soul of a Dummy (60/60) – Yes, you can actually kill the dummy in the Abyss. No, it’s not a quick process. On Master Soul difficulty with Thousand Demons upgraded and with a Nameless Worker dummy, this took me about 10 minutes of Thousand Demons spam to kill the dummy. Get some music running, you’re going to be here a bit.
And that’s it! Feel free to give me any feedback or suggestions on improving this (which for a 3,000+ word guide is more than possible), especially if that includes the creation of a video guide. Thanks for the wait on this one.

Thanks for the guide.
I'm missing just four RNG drop souls, which is super annoying. I never thought I'd have to grind random enemies in this game :/
Oh, and the training dummy took me over 20 minutes to kill with nonstop thousand demons.
EDIT: Done! It took a couple of hours to grind out souls from an act 1 Linot Archer, an act 5 Cathedral Knight and High Priest, and finally a Poison Damsel (also in act 5).

yes, that's what im doing but guess what lmaooo, im doing them in order (after getting most of them by memory with all the normal route's bosses' Passive Souls) after making sure i got Irmis Atem, and the Soul of Kamas wont spawn, i killed him multiple times now, nothing from his body, the corpse in the next room, and the tomb gives the ending + Active Soul.... my luck is insane
edit: got it after the 7th attempt, 5 of which were on MS, 2 in Rookie

P.S Would’ve fixed it earlier but I didn’t got the notification that you commented for some reason.

Uscob can be found in the house next to the one where you find Sagsas. Once you activate the totem in the room where you find Sagsas, you can access the room in the other house where Uscob is
Edit: I think you were missing Gnasnwag which can be found in the first house after exiting the area where you found Uscob and Sagsas.

Yeah, it was actually the Soul of Gnasnwag that I forgot. Embrassing. Anyway, massive thanks for the help, guide’s been updated to include the correct whereabouts with credit given to you for the reminder.

Can't find 16, I try to use Soul Burst on the wall next to the corpse on the ground and nothing happens. EDIT: I figured it out lol, the staircase kind of blends in and is on the right side before you go in and press Y, causing damage to the wall inside.

I specify that you have to move a bit right first before using Soul Burst to get close enough to the part of the wall with the Ψ (shouldn’t be that hidden). Also interacting with the hidden lever right before entering what the guide describes as the “little castle” is required for the wall to weaken so it can be destroyed via Soul Burst, otherwise the Ψ won’t show up.

Yeah lol sorry about that, I figured it out just as you replied to me. Also you do not need to use Soul Burst, I broke the wall with a normal attack. Also, I got Soul of a Dummy by accident while going for the combo challenges.

I’m just going to note this as i’m almost certain on it, my attack and defense at least doubled after getting the training dummy passive, which took about 30 mins of constant one thousand demons. I went from not getting close to beating ammu in 30 mins to cleaning shop with almost no damage taken first try after the passive. The soul says it lowers damage taken when health is low and reduces stamina usage but seems to have done more

How do you even do One Thousand Demons? I obviously have the move and I'm putting in the correct inputs according to Abyss yet I just do a regular attack?

-> (or vice-versa) -> I think you need 4 or 5 Soul Orbs on you as well to do the move.

I’m well aware: I myself used a Steam guide to get this (which blew up into smithereens for whatever reason before this guide was made), which afaik was the only other guide for this achievement on the internet, and in addition to not detailing the enemy passive souls and imo not being through with the Abyss passive souls, it was in Korean. Had to get it all translated.

i now have 100% the game minus this (and some more enemies for Shura) and still nothing, i have all other Passives so id like a solition to my problem: -Achievement related to resting the soul on that couch done -The Lady and the Child in Act 3 cannot be interacted with anymore -The couch tells me to "come here with the twisted soul" -I even tried going in with the Soul of a Chil from Act 4 cause it was in the way of doing an other achievement, and nothing

My only suggestion would be to try again on a second save file and see if you have better luck there, otherwise I can’t help you with this.
