How to unlock the Bloodlust achievement in Unto The End - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement, you need to kill 100 enemies. If you’re a natural master, you won’t get this on your first play through. If you’re like the 95% percent of the rest of us you’ll get this sometime around the the last portion of the game. To easily boost this, get to any area where you have to fight two enemies at the same time. Kill one enemy and then let other kill you. Respawn, rinse, and repeat. Thankfully the deaths only seem to take you back about 10 seconds before the fight. If you do happen to beat the game without getting this, your only chance to continue your body count is to continue playing after the credits roll. If you start from the main menu, I’ve been told that you will start from 0. I will test this on a separate account to verify.

Apparently you get credit for the kills that occur when the enemies kill each other. I just earned this achievement in the sequence near the end of the game when I was watching 4 enemies (2 of them Trolls) fight each other while I was standing on the edge of a cliff watching them fight.

Per the TA walkthrough, I was supposed to jump down to fight the last guy while he was running off in the other direction, but the achievement popped before I even did anything.

Another place I must have unintentionally earned a lot of kills (due to repeated failing) was that fight where you get stuck between two enemies - and one of them has 3 spears. So, I'm assuming every time I ducked one of the spear-throws, and it killed the other enemy, that it also counted as a kill for me.

TL;DR When enemies kill each other, it counts as a kill for you.

Thank you for this!! the video guide by SerServo was pretty solid but mislabed this achievement as story related so i missed out on my first playthrough. It took a couple minutes (30 maybe?) of grinding out the first double enemy encounter.

I missed this to so I take it I’ll have to restart the 100 kills again :(

After finishing the story for the first time I immediately started again and the achievement popped after about 20 kills near the start of the game. So I do believe this is cumulative across playthroughs.

Really wish there was a tracker on this. Had to get 20-30 kills after first playthrough.

I had to get ~30 kills after the the first playthrough as well. What I'm wondering is if the spear-chucker close to the end of the game where, if you duck, he hits and one-hit-kills the other enemy counts as a kill for you? As that would certainly seem to be the quickest place to farm kills.

I can confirm the spear chucker that kills the other enemy if you duck counts, just popped for me there on my second runthrough after about 10 kills. (remember to duck not roll so he throws a second spear into you and you die faster)

Thanks for confirming! If I'd realized how close to the end of the game that was, I would have farmed there instead of having to replay that initial section of the second playthrough to get back to the first set of 2 enemies.

I made a huge mistake by being a bit too good at this game and not actually taking time to grind the kills, and then came to the point I was on my 3rd playthrough with no saves and no ability to die in combat, still not to 100 kill and no clue of how close I am since this achievement is not tracked). Got it in the end, but not the best way to do that.

Actually I started third playthrough and decided to just boost it by restarting the campaign and it pop at the beginning. I think the kills do count over if you pause start new game cause it just popped for me just now.

In case anyone’s interested, there are around 50 enemies in the game. If you make it through your first playthrough relatively unscathed, you’re likely looking at needing to grind out around 50 kills in NG+.

I messed up and found out you can’t respawn in the third play through. To my surprise though after I hit “start again”, I got 17 kills(I counted) and the achievement popped! Don’t worry they all carry toast

Hello. I got this achievement at the start of the game. just before the heavy key. But I rebooted several times because I always left something behind. so in a stretch where there were 2 enemies, then Achievements appeared. If it's by kill count, it's cumulative it seems.

I needed to grind 36 extra kills on the first double enemy after following the walkthrough. Just to set some expectations. I think the game has changed a bit since the solutions were posted. For instance, the tactics demonstrated for the last boss have been patched out and no longer work. I'm just glad I didn't have to grind 100 kills on the 2nd playthrough.

I made a mistake in pressing the "Start Again" on the pause screen so this may have reset my kill count. In any case, there's a place where if you're following the video guide at around the 26-minute mark right after the heavy key door, there are 3 enemies. At this point, I had just fully upgraded my armor (for the achievement there of course) and possessed the spear + dagger. I was able to get 2 kills easily and then afk for the 3rd creature to kill me. Could be faster if I didn't need the armor achievement but oh well.

Tagging this on as it is helpful but not enough for a full solution; I found a great spot to farm easy kills 3 at a time and get yourself killed to respawn moments away. About 3/4 through the game (46:10 in the Trophy Tom video), you come across two enemies fighting. If you can kill the hostile enemy (you may or may not also need to kill the two passive enemies to the left to get the checkpoint), you can continue left and there is a large hut with an elder/healer and 3 wounded infirm. The checkpoint is just outside the hut. You can walk in and execute a guy on the right side, roll past the now hostile elder, and execute 2 more wounded on the left side, then let the elder kill you. Rinse and repeat until achievement ping! Happy hunting wave

Bloodlust is earned by killing 100 enemies in the game. There are not 100 enemies to kill in a playthrough if you don't grind things out or die enough times to have to replay some enemies multiple times. I have also read reports that you can lose progress to your 100 kills if you choose to start a new game from the menu, so getting all 100 in your first playthrough or following the instructions below to not lose progress will be important.

If you complete the game without getting 100 kills and want to continue another playthrough without resetting kills, make sure to defeat the final boss, walk to the end and watch the credits, and start the story again without using the main menu. I personally needed the 2nd playthrough for my achievement and only needed to kill a few enemies at the very beginning of the story.

If you would like to grind kills for this achievement, the easiest way to do so is to find two enemies together, kill the first one and then die. You will be reset to just before the battle... so you can kill the first enemy, die, kill the first enemy, die, etc. You can repeat this until the achievement pops. You don't need to go crazy an grind kills forever, getting 10-20 extra during your first playthrough should be enough to ensure you get 100 on your first go.

The first time you get to a place to fight 2 enemies at once is about the 15:30 mark in the video below, just after you collect the Light Stone:

UPDATE: "MasterCheeks117" found a great spot to farm 3 EASY kills at a time and get yourself killed to respawn moments away. Rinse and repeat.

For all achievements in the game, you can follow that awesome guide on YouTube:
All credit to Trophy Tom. Please like or subscribe to support him. Please note how he has conveniently labeled sections of his video based on which achievement is next or what item you are tracking down, this can be seen if you watch his video on YouTube on the video progress bar instead of the imbedded video here on True Achievements. It is a very well done 100% guide.

The location mentioned by MasterCheeks117 is perfect for this achievement. It took me less than ten minutes to grind out the necessary kills.

The conditions for obtaining this trophy are unclear. I got it when I got stuck in a fight with a spearman, he threw a spear and killed his comrade attacking from behind, then killed me, checkpoint, repeat again. I suspect that the trophy is cumulative - you need to kill a certain number of opponents, and not any specific ones.

The trophy is cumulative, received upon repeated playthrough.
