Although Quick Game races are specified in the achievement description, the quick game option isn't actually required for the achievement.

Quick game worked fine for us today - host of the lobby won the 1st 3 (so searching quick game isn't required) and I joined via the Quick game option without issue.
The modes with AI cars are still simple to boost. The 30 second timer starts when the 1st human racer finishes, not the 1st race car.

Would already have the achievement but two guys just quit when they where losing.
