How to unlock the Golden Flower Commemoration Medal achievement in Valkyria Revolution - Definitive Guide

Having messed this up myself, I thought I would explain what you should do to save yourself some time on this pain train. First off, don't spend much on any secondary weapons throughout your whole playthrough (I would primarily upgrade the core weapons of your team, for me being: the standard machine gun, the standard grenade, and maybe the standard RPG for tanks); essentially, you are saving for some save file scumming later down the line, to save you 5+ hours of extra grinding I had to endure. Otherwise, feel free to buy minimal stuff from shops around town, aside from crafting 30 armors for

and lvl 1 ragnites for early game power (buying these do count to your 300k).

So, once you reach ~320,000 credits (which can be best farmed from Chapter 10-1 in postgame and NG+ with Sara's magic or whatever your strat is), save, and you now have a file to buy all the secondary upgrades to get
Valkyria RevolutionResearch & Development CoinGoogleTrixThe Research & Development Coin achievement in Valkyria Revolution worth 154 pointsDeveloped all secondary weapons at Sabancci & Co.

Then reload that save and buy the most expensive workshop item at your disposal to spend your 300k.

As a final tip, if you messed up like I did (and probably most players), you likely spent all your hard earned 10-1 money on secondary weapons, thinking it would count towards the 300k, meaning you will have to grind more; it sucks. However, there is a trick I used which does work and will save you 25% of your time. This trick being the exploitation of the Tannery economy to buy-sell efficiently with the top three cloth options. So, assuming you have not spent anything on the shops, you will need ~240,000 credits and a hour of mindless dpading, or so. What to do is buy the first three cloths at 12c each maxing all three at x99. Then back to 'Sell' and sell all of it back, effectively spending 75% of your money (buy at 12c, sell at 3c). With this trick you should be able to get this slightly faster then farming 10-1, 33 more times (assuming you won't need more ragnite, which is a whole other discussion with

One final thing to mention is the 300,000 kr is tied to a single save file, so trying to spend 50,000 kr six times will not work; again, my desperation went into testing this as well.

So to clarify, this MUST be done with the Tomasson's Workshop. No other shop will work. I just burned over 300,000 kr on the ragnite store for another achievement and it did not pop the achievement. Reloaded the save and bought a bunch of coats and it instantly unlocked.

Not necessarily, if I recall, ragnite could work too. The only issue is you are buying one, 300 kr ragnite at a time, which could be hard to track and possibly glitchy (if you are buying, playing stages, buying, reloading saves, etc.) So, to your point @Tozi Tiberius, I would say to just save and mass buy coats or whatever so you get your 300k in one lump sum.

The achievement description makes it seem like there is one specific shop that will count toward this achievement, but any shop in the Promenade will actually count. I ended up using the Traveling Merchant, as he sells items at 980kr and you can buy them in stacks of 99, so it only took a few seconds once I had the money on hand.

It is important to note that developing secondary weapons at Sabancci & Co. in Basil's Factory does NOT count toward this, so as I mentioned in the "Research & Development Coin" achievement, don't spend your money on that in small increments, or it will be wasted toward this achievement and cause extra grinding.

The quickest way to get this much money (though in reality you'll want to have 325k on hand for the "Research & Development Coin" achievement) is to simply play story mission 10-1 over and over. After a few runs of this, you'll easily get it perfected and be hitting two minutes or less each time, getting 1800kr and a bunch of ragnite for your trouble. Keep an eye on your ragnite stash and when your backpack is getting full, head to town to use it all on upgrading weapons. Simply rinse and repeat this until you amass 325k and then save your game. Spend all the money upgrading secondary weapons for that achievement, then reload your save to get your money back. Now head to the Promenade and spend it all there to unlock this achievement.

According to information from the psnprofiles and gamefaqs forums, for a given trophy, 300,000 kr spent only on Promenade runs is taken into account. Those. Money spent on upgrading firearms is not taken into account.
A good place to grind money is mission 10-1. If you complete all side tasks and finish the mission on S, you will receive 2188 kr. Time to complete the task is 1:30.

The money boost in mission 10.1 can also be combined with the ragnite grind to boost all the discounts after receiving the trophy for 100 extra. missions

When you start grinding money and ragnet after completing the story, do not spend money until you have saved up 300 thousand. Firstly, you will see that you have the required amount, and not guess how much you spent. Secondly, having made a save, you can go to the Promenad, buy the entire amount from a traveling merchant (he has the most expensive goods) and get this trophy. Then load the game at a time when no money has been spent and go upgrade all the weapons in the factory and get another trophy, saving about 10 hours of tedious grinding!
