How to unlock the Home Run God achievement in Vanquish - Definitive Guide

First bossfight you have right into the game is an Argus (big spider like thing that transforms into a humanoid robot). Once you have damaged him enough he will start spewing an OBSCENE amount of missiles, go into manual AR mode (dodge roll and then press LT) aim at the stream of rockets and let rip with an assault rifle or heavy MG (anything automatic really will get the job done).

Some enemy robots will be firing missiles or throwing timed grenades at you, especially the KNRB-0 Argus (first encounter in Act 1-3: Giant). It loves to treat you with a massive amount of these. As soon as you see missiles fired at you, go into AR Mode manually to slow down your surroundings, then aim for the missiles and shoot them out of the sky. As soon as you destroy the first missile, it will unlock the "Home Run" achievement. Destroy 9 more of these to get the "Home Run God" unlocked.

You can get it on the first boss, just shoot down the rockets he launches at you, it took me 2-3 minutes to get this trophy (played on hard).
