How to unlock the Paavalan Would Be Proud achievement in Venba - Definitive Guide

As mentioned before, you need to meet the criteria on each one to unlock it.

But what if you don't do it on the first playthrough like I did?

Fortunately I was missing a flavor note in chapter 2 while making the rocket incompletely. The flavor note achievement popped, but not this one.

For me, I chose to quickly replay Chapter one, and upon completion the 15th and final achievement popped.

Confirmed JuanjoxLLG's fix and it works. I made sure to click on all the "flavor text" down at the bottom as well just in case.

Last one missing too. Doing Chapter 1 didn't work for me. But doing Chapter 2 did the trick - finally popped straight after sieving all the flour.

Dang. This is the only achievement I’m missing. I’ve replayed ch.1, ch.7, restarted the game, restarted Xbox, played ch.1 again…. Nothing. Stuck at 14/15. Suggestions?

This never unlocked for me despite all the others unlocking.

I replayed Chapter 1 (not via New Game), read both the flavour texts, completed the cooking the meal and it popped after I took the lid off to reveal the final dish.

Thanks rIKmAN, that did it. Popped as soon as I took the lid off at the end of ch 1. I guess reading the texts mattered.

I was also trying to get it today on my lunch break, last one for me as well, I'm on pc. Replaying chapter one and ignoring the flavor texts didn't pop it but replaying it again and clicking the flavor texts in chapter 1 popped it immediately when the meal was finished.

my guess is that it only checks your progress towards it when you trigger it i.e. reading a text( flavor or cell phones), completing the chapter really has nothing to do with the achievement criteria in theory.

This also worked for me when replaying I had to read the flavour text again and then it popped once I completed the act.

I thought I wouldn't be able to win the achievement anymore, but I'm glad I read this comment. I just redid the first chapter and the last achievement popped up

Hab 14 of 15 to. Deleted my local safefile and started chapter 2. After the Rice Part it poped for me

I got this after replaying Chapter 1 ensuring to read both flavor texts. I did it once without reading the flavor texts and it didn't pop, but once I redid it reading the texts, it popped right after I finished the dish.

Same, replayed different chapters and it didn’t pop for me. I noticed that the progress was not updated on console (just 2 achievements unlocked) so i deleted everything, game + saves. Reinstalled it, progress updated (14 out of 15) and then replayed chapter 1 via chapter select. It popped after cooking. Good luck!

You will get this at the end of chapter 7 (assuming all criteria are met)

Visual Guide:

For Silicon Heartbreak:

You will be able to obtain this at the end of chapter 5.

After learning Kavin won't be coming for food, Venba will look at her phone. Before proceeding use the cn_LSc to scroll to the top of the text conversation and back down, then press cn_A to proceed and after the cutscene the achievement will unlock.

For Doomscroll:

You will be able to obtain this at the start of chapter 6.

Kavin will delete a message he planned to send to his boss and agree to think of a recipe. Before proceeding use the cn_LSc to scroll to the top of the text conversation and back down, then press cn_A to proceed and after the cutscene the achievement will unlock.

For Flavor text:

"Flavor Text" is additional information accessible during recipes. You can press cn_Y to open up the menu and select the middle option.

Each recipe has one and sometimes each individual section does too. So every time you get chance check if there is one and tap cn_A to read through them.

Well, I went back through chapter select to get the flavor text. The only achievement I don’t have is this one, which seems odd. Do I need to finish a chapter maybe?

Thanks for the guide and effort guys, in my case I was following the guide but I missed exactly the "For Doomscroll" instructions, I did them and worked like a charm!

I don't know if either of you are still having trouble with the achievement, but I replayed the first level and got it. Just had to do the first recipe, checked the flavor text options again just in case.

Will unlock immediately after unlocking the third of the required achievements.

If you miss one or more of the required achievements on the first playthrough, you can still get them later via chapter select and unlock this one as well after the third achievement.

Paavalan is a writer, so he would doubtless approve of you being rather bookish in your play style. See Doomscroll (50G), Silicon Heartbreak (50G), and Flavor Text (50G).

The achievement is glitchy and may not drop if you did not complete the achievements Silicon Heartbreak, Doomscroll and Flavor text in one playthrough, but achieved them later in the chapter selection menu.
Solution option: exit the game, reboot the console, go through chapter 7 again, the achievement drops either during the preparation of three recipes, or during the credits or in the last dialogue before the credits. If the achievement does not appear, repeat.
