How to unlock the Taking Stock achievement in Venba - Definitive Guide

Between each stage of this recipe, Kavin will have a cutscene to go through.

Stage One
There is a flavour text at this step - Press cn_Y and select the middle option
1. Add the sieve to the bowl on top
2. Add the tamarind to the bowl on the bottom.
3. Add water to the bowl with the tamarind
4. Hold cn_A on the bowl with the tamarind to mix
5. Drag the tamarind bowl to the sieve
6. Drag the sieve with the tamarind to the bottom bowl
6. Rinse and repeat until Kavin says that the tamarind is no longer changing the water colour.

Stage Two
There is a flavour text at this step - Press cn_Y and select the middle option
1. Add the mustard seeds and the Cumin.
2. Add the Chillies and Curry Leaves
3. Add the Shallot and the Ginger & Garlic
4. Add the Tomatoes and water
5. Finally, add the Salt and Rasam powder

Stage Three
There is not a flavour text at this step.
Order doesn't seem to matter here, but I did them in the order of:
Water
Chicken
Turmeric
Salt
Lid
Nozzle/Cooking Weight
Turn cooker on

After the cut scene:
Remove cooking weight/nozzle
Remove lid

Step Four
There is not a flavour text at this step.
Mix the turmeric chicken you just made with the pan
Add coriander from the top of the screen

A cutscene will play and you will pop the achievement shortly after.

f there is anything i can do to improve my achievement solutions, please do let me know!

Great guide, it's Coriander rather than bay leaves at the end.

You will do this in Chapter 6:

Part 1: Grab the tamarind, put it in the top bowl, add warm water, mix, put the sieve on top of the bottom bowl, and pour the top bowl into the bottom one through the sieve. Tamarind in the top bowl and repeat. After that, repeat again.

Part 2: Add the pot: cumin, mustard seeds, chilies, curry leaves, shallots, garlic and ginger, tomatoes, the tamarind water, salt, and rasam powder.

Part 3: Add in the pot: water, salt, turmeric, and bone-in chicken. Put the lid in the pot, add the cooker weight, and turn on the stove. Remove the cooker weight and the lid.

Part 4: Pour the right pot in the left one and add coriander.

This one is impossible not to get. You just have to follow Kavin's rather scrambled instructions. The twist here is that he is trying to translata Venba's recipe, and he slightly muddles certain words. “Green chillies and leaves,” for example, is actually red chillies and green leaves. Still, this is easy enough.
