How to unlock the Burglar achievement in Venetica - Definitive Guide

It may sound tough to gain but it actually quite easy. You can use the lockpick ability after Don and Nesto are dead. when doing so the game will promp you to a mini game where you have to match the order of the color they show you to use. Each color represent a button on the Xbox controller. Green is A, Red is B, Yellow is Y and Blue is X. They will show you the order and when they are done just redo the order they just showed you and you will pick the lock. You can pick the lock of any chest and door that you find across the world and depending of the difficulty of the lock it will reward you with diffrent amount of XP.
Easy lock: 4 buttons combination worth 15 Xp
Normal lock: 6 buttons combination worth 30 Xp
Hard lock: 8 buttons combination worth 50 Xp
If you pick all the doors and chest you came across you should have this achievement before you go to Africa.

When exactly do I get the ability to open locked items? I'm in Venice now so Don and Nesto are definitely dead.

You should add that you earn the lockpick skill once you enter the Old Temple in the Outer City of Venice. You must first meet with Benedict and then use the new mental skill he gives you.

You unlock the skill to crack locks at the beginning of act 2, just after you enter Venice. Don and Nesto will show you a button sequence to crack a lock and if you just copy that you will crack a lock and get some experience (either 15, 20, 30 or 50 xp). Just crack ever lock you come across; doors, chests etc, and once you have gained 1200 experience, which will be sometime during act 3, you will unlock this trophy.

You get the skill to crack locks in Act 2. Once you have it, open all doors and chests you encounter. You only get 15, 30 or 50 XP per lock depending on how complex the lock is, so it will take quite some time and you will only get it towards the end of the game. You crack locks by repeating the sequence Don and Nesto shows you using the , , and buttons.

You will gain the skill of opening locks at the beginning of the second act, immediately after you find yourself on the streets of Venice, go to the old church. When opening the castle, Don and Nesto will first show you which buttons to press, and then you just need to repeat the combination. Depending on the complexity of the castle, you will receive experience - 15, 20, 30 or 50. Just open all the locks that you will meet on your way and you will quite easily gain 1,200 units of experience. You should receive this reward in the middle of the third act.
