How to unlock the Weapon Unlocked: Infinity Sword! achievement in Vertical Drop Heroes HD - Definitive Guide

Some good tips in the comments of FullMoonBeaver's solution, but I wanted to provide my own solutions. I tried lightning, firetrap, etc, but it was just not reliable. The most reliable and there's almost zero chance to lose with this combination, is to do this.

First thing is that you want a hero that has lightning and dwarf turret. The other traits can be anything but probably wealthy would make the game too tough. You can teleport to level 10 or start from any level, don't worry about saving keys or anything. If you want to skip a boss, try and get 5 keys. (I'd suggest skipping boss of level 10 if possible)

Now, immediately, place two dwarf traps under the left side hero, and then jump down left so you are hidden. Whenever the final boss comes near, use lightning. Repeat this, you will keep putting down more turrets and by the time 4th phase comes around, you don't even need lightning. Boss is completely, utterly, defeated using this method.

You need to find and unlock the teleporter using coins. Then, you can use coins in the hub world to teleport.

Is this during one sitting or overall? I feel like I've beaten the game three times and it's not unlocking. Also, is this stat tracked anywhere?

@UnsungGhost: I'm pretty sure it's not required to do in one sitting although I did complete the whole game in one sitting so I can't be 100% sure about it.

Completed for the 3rd time just now. The achievement didnt unlock for about 20mins after I beat the game, I kept playing as was trying for 3 game completions in one session incase that was it but it unlocked whilst trying to complete it again. So doesn't nèed to be done in one session.

Buy the portals once you done at least 1 play through without them. I did this without the turrets. In the final fight having Open all skill to release the heroes ever time the boss respawns and lightning is a must.

Might of just been me but the preferred character layout was the shield user each time. Seem to get me the furthest in a run having black against the boss, I found a big help.

Got my third win today by skipping all levels and beating the final boss by spamming dwarf turrets but it hasn’t popped yet; this game sucks ass

As the description says, you need to beat the game three times in total. Your first time beating the game should obviously be for We Don't Need Roads! (100G), but don't worry, the next two will be easier than that first one, because now we can use the Teleportation Shrine to skip levels.

You're going to want to keep a solid 1,000 - 2,000 coins on hand so you can spend them on Teleportation as needed. How it works is that, on a fresh playthrough, you'll find a Teleportation Shrine on level 2, and you'll need two keys to open the way to it, plus 100 coins to unlock it. That's the only Shrine you'll find on this run. After you die (or win), you can pay 8 coins to start on level 2 and be leveled up a bit. Now, on this run, you'll find a Shrine on level 3 only, and if you die or succeed, you can spend an increasing amount of coins to start at level 3. Progression with the Teleportation Shrine works like this, so unfortunately you can't just get to level 10 on a run and unlock the Shrine there to always start there. This makes it a little slower than it would be, but it's still a way to guarantee progression on every run.

The last couple levels will be tougher because using the Teleportation Shrine means you'll be a bit underleveled compared to if you got there from the first level, but play safely and stealthily just to get through. Once you make it to the final fight, your Dwarf Turrets can do all the work and you'll able to knock out two more victories relatively easily.
