Fractured Worlds isn't much of a story. You're tasked with the following:

- Reach Tier 10 in The Fracture, defeat Epic boss.
- Defeat Epic boss at the end of each of the 4 daily dungeons (Hanging Gardens, Cadaver City, Amaranthine Autumn, Lethean Caves).
- Reach Tier 25 in The Fracture, defeat Epic boss.
- Defeat Epic boss at the end of each of the 4 daily dungeons.
- Reach Tier 50 in The Fracture, defeat Epic boss.

... only you need to do it without dying. This sucks particularly well as the stages in Fractured Worlds like to spawn enemies on and behind you as you progress. The Epic bosses can so very easily kill you in one hit. This will be a test of patience and how well you can manage your game and delete the local save. See the solution on the base game for "not dying" for the steps.

Any tips and tricks for the epic bosses, in particular the alpha hound that can take me from 100% to 20% life in one hit?

I'm running a lightning gun/hammer/heartbreaker/death machine build. Apart from a couple of near-death experiences, I've been working through the tiers reasonably okay. However I seem to be too squishy to go toe to toe with an Epic Alpha as my single target DPS is not so great. Is there a link to your heartbreaker/cavalier/barbarian build? I can always try to adapt it for the bosses.

I have a feeling mine was very similar to yours... Lightning Gun with high Overdrive, maxxed Hammer (+cursed), Heartbreaker, Death Machine.. for the cards it was just Barbarian, Wildcard, Obelisk, Tower... the Barbarian card made for a near endless use of potions.

Just managed to get it (couldn't find barbarian card so went without). A tip for those attempting - the epic bosses in the daily dungeons reset daily. So if you get a particularly evil boss (e.g. alpha hound, ice witch); wait till the next day.

In regards to boosting this with a new character, I did level 1-25 in Motorhead, immediately farmed secrets for Mikkeys Outfit and then went straight to the Fractured World. Total time was 22 hours to getting the achievement.

These achievements can be easily boosted, if you have a friend on a non-hardcore character. Have them clear out the entire floor for your quest and teleport in to a safe location while they kill the boss. If they've unlocked floor 50 you'll be able to skip every floor as well and just do the floor req for the quests.

That is a really tough question to answer without knowing your build... though specific to the Alphas, I'd clear out any enemies around it first. It takes a few seconds to charge up before it dashes, make sure you're out of the way before it does. Its the charge that does the most damage. Same with the laser it shoots. After both attacks it sits still and can take a few shots.

I went with a Heartbreaker/Cavalier/Barbarian setup for Hardcore, had to play it pretty patient, especially in Fracture because of how often enemies would spawn on or behind you, but was pretty safe for the bosses.
