There are seven weapon category’s in the game, four of which you already have plans for when you start the game.
Plans are obtained in crates which contents are randomly generated, once all items have been obtained in the crate a new set of items will be randomly generated.
Crates can be obtained via escaping with the supply drop from the Outlands or via the story and daily challenges. The latter provides better quality crates as the supply drop will always be common unless upgraded in the lobby using the premium currency.
You can see which plans you have already obtained either via the Crafting Table in the Build menu or your Weapon Stash in the Equip menu.
This is a list of all weapons and their rarity’s.

Blueprints can no longer be obtained from crates. You are now forced to buy them with the purchasable in-game currency.
I would recommend combining this achievement with and buying the cheapest blueprints.
Three more weapon blueprints are required for this achievement.
The cheapest are the following and you need 500 crowns to buy them:
You are starting with the following weapon blueprints for free (4/7):
- Pistol: PM
- Melee: Puukko
- Shotgun: Silver Pigeon
- Submachine Gun: Thompson
The cheapest blueprints from the missing categories are:
- Assault Riffle: VZ. 58 P (100 crowns)
- Rifle: Mosin Nagant (100 crowns)
- Machine Gun: Maschinengewehr 3 (300 crowns)
Total for weapon experts achievement = 500 crowns
Addition: as far as I know, crowns can be gained with the help of the battle pass, crates and challenges. In addition, there is the shelter improvement which brings in around 5 crowns per day. Crowns can also be purchased with real money.
