How to unlock the Iris achievement in Virginia - Definitive Guide
The first time you arrive you will be stood at the door and have to interact with Mr Fairfax (the priest) to show him your ID.
You'll then move inside. Your partner will be talking to them over by the couch/TV so go down the corridor to the right of them, then into the first open door on the left to find their bedroom. Look to your right as you enter to see a dustbin against the wall next to the bed. Go over and examine the application form in the top of the bin to pick it up.
The next time you come here, when you use the lockpick to enter, go to the kitchen and look at the paperwork on the counter near the microwave - you'll pick up the successful application form and get the achievement.
Missable
At your first visit to the Fairfax house, go to the bedroom of the parents (the first door you encounter). To the right of one of the beds will be a bin. Inside the bin is a letter. Pick it up. At a later point in the story, you and Halperin will break-in to the house. In the kitchen will be a letter. Once you picked this up the trophy will unlock.
In case you forgot to pick up the letter and just want to go for this trophy, you'll have to play at least from Chapter 6 (Kingdom) to Chapter 17 (Breaking in).
This achievement is in two parts. If you miss this in your initial playthough, after you’ve completed the game, reload Chapter 6, ‘Kingdom’ and play through until the achievement unlocks in Chapter 17, ‘Breaking In.’
After your first visit to the diner upon arriving in Kingdom, you will enter a house. When you have control, walk to the hallway and enter the first door on your left, which is a bedroom. Sitting next to the bed is a trash can and inside is a piece of paper (an application for a school). Pick it up by pressing .
Later on in the game, after you’ve broken into the same house, make your way to the kitchen (opposite from where the bedroom is). Sitting on the counter will be another piece of paper. Interact with it and the achievement will unlock.
