How to unlock the Paris achievement in Virginia - Definitive Guide

You need ten feathers to get this and they are all missable. YOU CANNOT USE CHAPTER SELECT TO FIND THESE (unless you start again at the very first one) as it wipes all other items you may have found when you jump to whichever chapter you pick. So you need to get them ALL in one run.

1) After meeting your boss the first time at the FBI you will head down to meet Halperin. You'll go down a lift (grab the glasses from the chair as you come out), then along a corridor, then spawn at the top of some stairs. STOP HERE. Look under where you are standing to find the first feather.
2) When you get to the Fairfax house for the first time go into the bathroom (only door on the right side, in the house) and find this on the floor. GET THIS BEFORE GRABBING LUCAS' DIARY FROM HIS HIDDEN ROOM.
3) After a dream sequence you'll appear right in front of Halperin's office door. DO NOT GO IN. Instead backtrack down the corridor, round the corner, and grab this on the right side just past the two big bins.
4) In the morgue DO NOT interact with the bird on the table right away. Instead go to the back right corner to find this on the floor. (Also, interact with the ship piece next to the glue for another achievement later).
5) When you go back to the Fairfax house and pick the lock to get in, head down the main corridor and to the room at the end (with the hunting trophies above the door on the inside). It's on the floor to your left as you enter. GET THIS BEFORE INTERACTING WITH THE DESK.
6) As soon as you enter the roadhouse bar look directly under your feet to find this. Do this BEFORE going through the door behind Halperin. (Grab the red headscarf on the right as you enter the next room for an achievement later).
7) In Halperin's apartment go out of the first room and down the first short set of stairs to open the door ahead of you. This leads to a cluttered room, look right past the clothes rack to see the feather on the floor between some boxes. Grab this BEFORE sitting down for breakfast.
8) When you are interrogating Mr Fairfax (the priest) click on him to release him from the cuffs and then you'll stand up. This feather is on the floor behind where you were sat, to the right. Grab it BEFORE knocking on the door that Halperin is sat behind (you should also get the moon symbol in the corridor here before knocking on her door too - for another achievement).
9) After finding the locket again, and examining it at a bar, you'll spawn in a creaky lift. DO NOT GET OUT - instead look under your feet to grab this feather.
10) Last one is located on top of the water tower. As you climb up it will be on the floor to your right, grab it BEFORE speaking to Halperin.

Now you have them all you need to look at the board containing them all in your apartment - which will be when you are woken up by people knocking on the door/ringing the buzzer to arrest you. If you get to this point and have missed one you'll have to do the whole thing again.

3rd feather was a problem for me. Did not have a dream sequence outside of her office.

It's not during a dream sequence - it's directly AFTER one (as I say in the guide). You should start a scene literally looking at her door and that's when you want to backtrack and grab the flower before going in.

Thought it was pretty clear in the guide.

Mine has glitched I’ve got the 10 feathers and been staring at the board for well over 30 minutes but nothing has popped for me, this is my 2nd try at this achievemen. Whilst at idle the TOAT achi Popped about 15 minutes after it should off. A terrible game not worth the time or money.

Can you quit the game and resume while getting these collectibles? You say skipping chapters resets all your achievement progress - does that mean quitting out and resuming does the same?

I remember collecting feathers then quitting and I lost them.

Never mind, I can confirm that you can indeed quit out and 'resume' and the achievements will still unlock.

if we have missed one , if we load the chapter where we missed it can we obtain the achievement or we need to do it during the 2nd playthrough ?

Missable

Unlocks once you collect all ten feathers in the game and look at the feather board in your apartment. Note that you can't unlock this using Chapter Select; all of the feathers must be collected in a single run. The chapters below are only given for information on where in the story a feather can be found. All feathers will be laying on the ground. Once there is someone buzzing at your door, take a look at the feather board, located in your bedroom.

In case you forgot to pick up even one feather and just want to go for this trophy, you'll have to play at least from Chapter 4 (First Day) to Chapter 30 (Last Day).

Locations of all the feathers:

1. Once the scene moves from a hallway to a staircase, look down(4. First Day)
2. In the Fairfax's bathroom (6. Kingdom)
3. On Tuesday, once you have been in the elevator with a military person, don't interact with Halperin's door. Instead backtrack to the hallway and the feather will next to some boxes. (?)
4. The morgue in far, right corner (10. Clubhouse)
5. In the Fairfax backroom, immediately to the left of entering the room (17. Breaking in)
6. At the entry of the roadhouse look down (18. Roadhouse)
7. In the first room down the stairs at Halperin's house (19. Fourth Day)
8. In the room where father Fairfax is interrogated, directly behind you (20. Dead End)
9. In the elevator to Halperin's apartment, don't exit the elevator before picking up the feather (27. Apartment)
10. Once you have climbed up the water tower (29. Water Tower)

*MISSABLE*

There are 10 feathers in the game to collect. All of these need to be collected in one playthrough. Using Chapter Select will not work.

Once you have collected all 10, later on in the game you will be woken up in your apartment by someone buzzing your front door. Before walking into the living room, standing on a table next to the door is a corkboard with all the feathers you’ve collected in the game. If you’ve collected all 10, when you look at the corkboard, the achievement will unlock.

  1. Once you’ve left your superior’s office for the first time, exit an elevator, walk down a couple of corridors and you will eventually appear in a stairwell. The feather is on the floor where you’re standing.
  2. While investigating the Fairfax house for the first time, before finding Lucas’ diary (which will end the scene), go down the hallway and into the bathroom and you’ll find the feather on the floor.
  3. After having a dream about a buffalo and a red door, you will appear in front of Halperin’s door. Instead of interacting with it, turn left and go down the corridor. Make a left and the feather is on the ground on the right.
  4. When in the morgue, instead of interacting with the bird on the table, walk to the upper right corner of the room and pick the feather up off the floor.
  5. While investigating the Fairfax house the second time, walk down the hallway and enter a door at the end. Before examining the desk, look to the left inside the door on the floor for the feather.
  6. When you enter the ‘Sojourner’s Truth’ bar, as soon as you walk in (before interacting with Halperin), the feather is on the floor where you’re standing.
  7. After you wake up in Halperin’s apartment, walk down the stairs and stop at the first landing. Interact with the door and walk in. On the floor directly in front of you (to the right of the clothes rack) is the feather.
  8. When you are in the interrogation room with the priest, when you stand up, walk to the corner behind your chair for the feather.
  9. After picking up the locket on a rock and examining it in the bar, you’ll appear in an elevator. The feather is on the floor where you’re standing.
  10. After climbing the water tower, to your immediate right on the ground is the feather. Pick this up before making your way around the railing to talk to Halperin.

Trophies for collecting flowers and feathers dropped in the chapter Saturday, when I looked at the board with feathers and flowers.
