How to unlock the Orb Finder achievement in Virtua Fighter 5 - Definitive Guide

Once you start quest mode you will have to go into the shop and buy an orb disk, I think this will cost you 5000. After you have bought an orb disk start fighting different people in the arcades.

After a couple of matches you will get an item match where you might win an orb if you beat the opponent.

The item matchers seem to be random, so it might take a while for you to win a orb.

Simply fill all the 7 orb holes in the orb disk and you will get this achievement/

Good solution but I did start with an orb disk in my inventory. When I went to the shop an scrolled to the last page it said: "You cannot buy a new orb disc if you already have one".

Guess once you fill one, you have to buy another. The first one is free i think. I started with one

Despite the fact this is the 4th highest earned achievement among players, I ended up just unlocking it as my 6th (after reaching 5th Dan and placing in the Amateur's Tournament).

I suppose I'm just commenting for any readers that get less lucky with the Orb yield RNG, like me. It took me 92 Wins (58.5% Rivals Beaten in the SEGA Arena Coast Arcade and two Official Tournament Wins) to get my 7th Orb in Quest Mode.

Just gotta be patient with the item RNG and work towards other achievements.

If you grind out the first Arcade, I'd say you should almost certainly have this by 10th Dan ranking.

For additional note from one noob to others. I am using Akira and spamming Left Trigger for all my wins. Occasionally throwing in Y spamming and X blocking when needed. I've only had to quit to prevent a loss on one occasion!

As soon as you unlock the 7th Orb, be sure to head to the Item Shop to buy another Orb Disc (mine cost 1000G).

You can track how many Orbs are on your current Orb Disc on the Fight Loading Screens.

You begin the game with an orb plate, this must be filled with orbs gained from item battles to obtain this achievement.
