Clear the table of balls in order without missing in Pot Shot

How to unlock the Perfect Frame achievement in Virtua Tennis 2009 - Definitive Guide

Best to do this in play mode rather than world tour, so if you stuff up, you can quit and retry.

From a break, you need to sink the balls in number order, leaving the 9-ball until last. Off the break, you have to sink at least 1 ball (does not matter which number, as long as it is not the 9 ball), and then every shot you take you must sink another ball, otherwise it will not count. Combination shots are fine as well, so for example, as long as you hit the ball with the green star underneath it first, and then other balls go in, they will count. Again just make sure that at the end you are left with only the 9 ball to sink.

If you miss a shot, or make a foul shot, you can simply sink the 9 ball regardless of whether it's a foul shot or not, and you will get a new break, so you can start over again without having to go back to the main menu each time.

I used Andy Roddick, and then for the break I simply held up, and hit a max serve, straight down the middle, and 9 times out of 10 you should sink 1 or even 2 balls.

I didn't see any comments about this, but if you hit the "back" button on your controller you get a nice overhead view of the table which takes a lot of guess work out of your shots-making.

If you sink the 9 ball and start a new break it won't count. I did that last night and it won't count, so i had to start it over. But still thumbs up;)

I just managed this and I agree with straight down the middle for the serve, this normally spread the balls when used with top spin, when trying to pot I found that using the natraul potting angle as appose to the terrible guide line worked best aswell as less power when possible after the break. Good luck. You will probably need a bit of it.

wow, i feel sorry for you guys :( i just did this in like an hour, and 3 times i was just 1 shot away before finally succeeding. it was honestly my favourite achievement in the whole game! but i actually used a totally different starting serve which only got 1 ball in, but dispersed the rest quite evenly on the table without none of them getting stuck right next to the backboard (a problem i had using the serve mentioned in the solution)

Just got it after 20 minutes with the luckiest ever achievement run in my Xbox gaming history, sink 3 balls with my first shot and another 3 with my next shot. :D The rest were all incredibly easy to sink, Im very happy and I wish all people trying to get this annoying achievement to have as much luck as I had.

I found a video that claimed you only have to hit the balls in order (hit the lowest numbered ball on the table), it doesn't matter which ball actually goes in, with the likely exception of the 9 going in last.

I found that just shy of a max serve hanging slightly to the left (begin the service and hold your stick forward and left) gave me the best break results (often 2, ocassionally 3 off the break).

Other than that the game requires more luck than skill, the physics are absolutely awful, as is the collision detection on cuts.

The amount of time I spent on this is sickening.

The best you can hope for is 2/3 to go in off the break and for the balls to spread out fairly well, if your target ball ends up behind another you're pretty much screwed as every shot has to be taken from the break end of the table.

Good luck.

Never got to a place where i could get 2-3 off the break consistently, and was probably 60% success rate on getting one or more in with the technique above of slightly off center and max-ish power. That being said once you do have a successful break this is largely luck based depending on how the balls disperse. Took me roughly 100 tries attempted over a handful of sessions.

Can only be done in Play Mode. Use Roddick as he has the best serve. For the break start where you are put and try and get the serve as high powered as possible. Practice and you will get better and know what to do.

Must be done in Play Mode. Play the 'Pot Shot' minigame. To get this, you have to put every ball in order one after the other. Very difficult.

The order in which you must put the balls is:

Yellow
Blue
Red
Purple
Orange
Green
Brown
Black
White (with yellow strip).

You can use combos to get this achievement but you MUST finish with the same amount of shots you started the level with.
