You will get this achievement while still in the Amateur tour. Every tournament you play will give you prize money, the higher the rank of tourney and the further you finish, the more money you earn.
Once you have got your money visit the "Tennis Store" and aim to buy the cheapest items. Most items have 5-6 different colour variations and these all count towards the 100 required quota.

There is a little trick to this, seeing as if you buy 100 items you will not be able to buy all the court passes so save all your money from the start and buy nothing, if you want to rest stay at home for 1 week as that is free. Okay when you believe you have enough for 100 items go ahead but turn autosave off. Okay buy the items and once the trophy pops quit the game from the XMB and restart it, you should still have all your money as well as a shiny new trophy.

Visit the Tennis Store in World Tour, and buy 100 different items. Make sure you have a fair ammount of money because items range from the thousands to the hundreds of thousands. However, there are 1500 items, so buying the cheapest ones shouldn't be too difficult.
