You can do this by playing normally, it's cumulative through all modes, and you will probably require much more than 10 hours to get 1000. I'm still 800 and have 24 hours, 20 of them spent to get #1 on world tour (you receive a wooden racket when you reach this mark).
Alternatively you can set up a 5 set match with 2 controllers and leave it until you get the achievement.
You can check anytime the time spent on court going options from the main menu and selecting statistics.
