easy now i done it lol
you need to place 2 rocks into the kracken
1st rock: place a villager on the crafting hut and select water - they will then cool down the rock in the lava - after this use your villager to mine it and they will take the stone to the kracken
2nd rock - this is located under some reads to the right of the screen - the reeds are just left of the tree by the waterfall (you will see the rock below) again use a villager to mine and they will take it to the kraken
Finally select a villager and use them on the kraken - they will then place the eyes :)

To accomplish this it seemed the 'Construction' lvl had to be at 1 (so upgraded for the first time, for 8.000 tech points) it seemed. The movement of the stones towards the kraken statue could be done before that tech improvement.
