Master Horticulturist (20 points)
Full bonus growth for 25 plants.
Get Full bonus growth with 25 different types of plants. To get full bonus growth, use fertilizer. Note: Most plants can take 3 uses of fertilizer right away, but trees have to have one per growth spurt. You can tell when the tree is ready for more by watching for a small “explosion” of leaves. When this happens apply more fertilizer. The tone of sound will tell you if you used it correctly.

I love the sound it makes when you fertilize a plant or tree.

Trees, and bushes I believe. Nightshade bush for instance I'm pretty sure I had to do that one in three different spurt stages. I think blackberry bushes are the same way, although that one may have been just right away.
Probably should have mentioned that you'd get this achievement on the way to the one you actually posted about, for clarity and all that but yeah, not important.

Bonus Growth is easy enough.
Use fertilizer 3 times on each plant.
Later in the game you can get Fertilizer from Ivor Bargin's and it can be used on any plant. Once you've used it 3 times you'll get a message to say you've done Bonus Growth on that plant so you'll know its done.
Check your encyclopedia to see which plants don't have the 3 ticks in the end to see which still need doing.

You can also buy fertilizer from Costolot's store earlier in the game, and for cheaper, than the fertilizer at Ivor Bargain's. You just need to know the right fertilizer to use. You can find out which fertilizer to use by going to this page: http://vivapinata.wikia.com/wiki/Fertilizer

Just to clarify that this needs to be five different species of plant. Not five of the same type.
