Excellent guide. Got 950/1000. "Defeat the boss of the ruins" achievement is glitched for me even though I have done it multiple times.

Apparently if you go straight for the tear and don't face the boss, you still unlock this achievement, it worked for me after speaking to the captain to go back to the ship

You can get this still if it glitched. after you finish all achievements, completely delete your savegame (cloud and local) and then do this again with the chapter select.

I can confirm this achievement unlocks, if you skip the boss and talk to the pirate, tp get back on the ship. So it's not really glitched, even though it mit seem like it.

Act Three - Voyage of the Lady Arabica (Scene 18: Quest for the Mermaid's Tear)

Just a few simple puzzles to complete in this section to progress to the boss (who is already defeated by the time you get there).

Defeated the boss of the Ruins
Story related and can't be missed. You will obtain this at the end of scene 18. Once you start the scene, you'll start in a boat. Down and to the left is the mermaid ruins, so head there then disembark. Complete the ruins and at the end of the scene, after you have slid down the hill and are back at your boat, the achievement will unlock.
