Like the one said above it's mainly due to luck but i got mine with the American US Heavy T32 at BR 7.3. When you're top tier the tank is a very good choice to use as the armor and Partly the gun can do well in it. Here's the video of me unlocking it:

OH. It only works for RANK 5 VEHICLES ONLY! I thought you could get it unlocked even by playing higher BRs and rank 6 but sadly no. Rank 5 is the rank you need.

I'm not too sure that luck is a big factor, mainly skill and play style. also a decent team is a nice thing to have.

I performed with tank. You can buy a premium tier V tank, and play with other tier IV tanks. You get more points for defending and attacking bases, but of course you must destroy other tanks as well.
