How to unlock the Animal Lover achievement in Warframe - Definitive Guide
2024 Note: This solution is from 2019, so some mechanics may have changed since I posted this.
This is a fairly easy achievement that you can get in about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
To start, purchase a tranquilizer rifle and an echo-lure from The Business in Fortuna. There are about 3 or 4 different animals you can capture, but for the sake of the guide buy the Pobbers lure. You can get both the gun and lure for as little as 1,000 Solaris United standing. When you have these, put the tranq rifle in your gear wheel. Also, make sure you DO NOT have a pet equipped when you do this, as they can scare the animals away.
When you get to Orb Vallis and equip the rifle, little paw print icons will appear on your map. When you go to them, you’ll come to some animal poop that you can “activate” (yum!), which then spawns some footprints for you to follow. Follow them slowly, as they can sort of sometime be difficult to see.
Once you followed the prints to the lure location, make sure no enemies are around, then take out the echo-lure where you’ll be prompted to partake in a little mini game of sorts. Activate the lure once, and on your second use you’ll see a white line. All you have to do is keep the lure line fairly close to the white one so you’re mimicking the animal’s call. It’s a lot easier than it sounds. You’ll know you’ve done it correctly when Business tells you the animals are on their way.
Next, you want to hide somewhere so they don’t see you! I recommend a high vantage point. The Pobbers are small, possum-like creatures who can spawn in groups of 1-3. If you’re having trouble spotting them, looking through the scope of the tranq rifle will light them up, even through walls/trees. When they stop moving, shoot one with your tranq rifle. The shot will scare the other ones, so just go grab the one that was unaware for your “perfect” rated capture. The scared ones are not worth getting as they’ll only get you a “good” rating.
Hope the guide helps you. If you are unsure of any specific step, feel free to ask in the comments. Good luck, Tenno!
Edit: Due to a patch, sleeping and cloaking abilities no longer work for this achievement, so I removed them from my solution. Still, with this strategy you should be able to do it quickly.

Some tips:
- Take the "Virmink Echo-lure". This creature is easier to shot and it shows up almost every time (sometimes Pobbers won't even show up).
- Only take one echo-lure with you; I walked around with Pobbers and Virmink lures and I had to switch echo-lure to match the lure (= annoying). You can only sell a echo-lure to remove it from your Gear.
- Don't go to Capture/Hunt Icons (the paw icon on the map) near caves, because those are not "Virmink" lures (not 100% sure, but I got 2 times the the "Stovers" as creature).
- When you "Activate" the poop and you must follow the tracks (step 1 of 4 in your HUD), switch to your primary/secondary. The tracks are still visible, but you can kill Corpus along the way.
- When you mimicked the echo and your HUD says "Locate and tranq" (step 3 of 4), go to a high/far point otherwise the "Virmink" will see you and go away. I used the Tranq Rifle to measure the distance between me and the lure; around 50-60 meters
- When the "Virmink" is walking towards the lure and you see it through your Tranq scope (orange silhouette), WAIT till The Business say what type it is (Red, White, Dusky etc.) and then shoot it. I shot one right when I saw him, but nothing happened. Then The Business said "that is a white Virmink", I shot it again when it stopped. But it was a "Good" capture eventually.
I am still working on the achievement, so not 100% sure about everything. But I messed up a lot fighting Corpus, stayed to close to the lure, got no creature (Pobbers) at all, shot the "Virmink" to early for a "Perfect" capture, went to the wrong Capture/Hunt Icons etc.
Oh and the "Virmink" counts as two, is probably because of a Resource Booster (see other solution).

F**k tracking. It's a waste of time and energy. There is a much easier, faster and safer way to do it, which can be done in less than 5 minutes, just buy a tranquilizer rifle, head to the image below(or somewhere like that, you can always find mushrooms.), reach the top of the large mushroom you think has the best view (you may need Archwing), hold up the tranquilizer rifle scope, Then wait for the highlighted birds to land, usually on top of other mushrooms, and hit them with the tranquilizer rifle. These birds won't run away because of your mistakes, and they're big and immobile, much simpler than those little mice.

Go look at the other guide for the basic instructions. I'm providing more advanced tips.
Firstly, do this with a Resource booster on. You only need 5 perfect captures this way, as the animals are considered as a "resource" so you get 2 for 1 for the achievement tracker. You can sometimes get a free Resource booster from a daily login, you can sometimes buy a 3 day booster from the Void trader in exchange for Ducats on every other weekend, you can get it as a Sortie mission reward, or you can purchase it with platinum from the store, the cheapest is 40 platinum for 3 days. However, you shouldn't waste real money on that, because this achievement is quite short anyway.
You should use rest of the resource booster if you need Solaris rank, you can mine everything at a double rate and the trade those gems for Solaris standing with Smokefinger on Fortuna.
Also, prefer hunting Virmink for this. Bringing only Virmink lure may only show Virmink hunts on the map. It is the biggest of the animals and it is easiest to hit with the Tranq Rifle. The Sawgaws are birds that start flying in the air, they are annoying. And the pobbers are some little creatures that seem to escape easily. Also, since you can hit the big animal with one Tranq Rifle shot, you'll get the perfect capture more easily.

As an extension to the previous guides above, I personally used an archwing to help speed this achievement up compared to following the trails of poop scattered around Orb Vallis. I purchased the tranq rifle from The Business on Fortuna 500 or 1000 Solaris United standing (I can't remember if its 500 or 1000).
From here I would load into Orb Vallis on solo only mode and jump onto my archwing. I flew around mountainous areas or areas that contained large mushroom looking features and listened out for a distinct bird call. Scoping in with the tranq rifle while flying also works too looking out for highlighted creatures as you go.
I would quite often find birds sat on the large mushrooms or flying between in a group of 2 or three, and was able to fly within 100m of them without alerting them. From here you can just line up your shot and tranq the birds, resulting in a perfect or good capture.
Using this method I was able clear my the last 6/10 perfect captures within 10-15 minutes and am currently using this method to help get up to maximum standing with Solaris United.
If there is anything I can add to this please let me know :) Thanks

A perfect capture means the animal cannot see you before you tranq it, you will need the Tranq Rifle and an echo lure. Equip the Tranq Rifle and head to one of the areas that show up. Find the faeces on the ground then follow the tracks to food. Equip the echo lure and call the animal. Once The Business says something re-equip the Tranq Rifle and look around for the animal. I don't recommend going after the Bolarola, because their armor is hard to avoid at times. The easiest targets are Pobbers, who show up in groups of 3 so is possible to get more than 1 perfect capture and the Virmink.
This guide was translated automatically.
An ideal capture of an animal is considered to be a capture in which the animal does not notice you. Equip a rifle and you will see all the hunting points in the Valley of the Spheres. Point your sight at, ahem, shit - you'll find out the type of animal you're tracking. If you have such a decoy, then continue to look for the nest by following the tracks.

It is also convenient to hunt with Ivara's sleep arrows
