How to unlock the K-Driven achievement in Warframe - Definitive Guide

I found this by mistake and not entirely sure if it is faster then just driving around.

You can fall out of the map by charging your k-drive by holding down A button and press down on LS for full speed and run directly into the border straight on (don't hit it on an angle). When you fall off your k-drive and go out of bounds, quickly equip the k-drive again and drive forward a bit. You will start to free fall out of the map and you will be able to perform tricks which you could get 3,000 trick points for standing. When the falling stops it takes you back to Fortuna's gates. I found that the further the distance you were from Fortuna the more distance you traveled. I've been going to the North East of the map which I believe is the longest distance away and each time I get a white tick on the Achievement tracker.

Confirmed this works 3/14/2020, I got it after a few tries and found a consistent way to get progress at (least on Xbox). So to get in the glitch (I had the starting k-drive), I hit the invisible wall in the top left corner of the map angled toward the lower part of the hill. Once I got thrown off my board, I didn’t manage to clear the gap to drop into the glitch, so I quickly rolled (or in melee dropped, can’t remember) to cover the last of the distance. Once I started falling, I pulled out my archwing and flew back from where I came from on the map until I hit the invisible wall again. From there I pulled out my k-drive and got into the glitch. To keep consistent progress, I repeated this cycle: 1. Move in circles/any direction while falling 2. Open Xbox achievement progress tracker menu 3. If the progress bar slightly went up (should be a very very tiny white sliver), then I waited in that tracker menu until I watched the progress bar move up a little bit. Then I would close the achievement menu and repeats from step 1. If no progress was made, I would repeat from step 1. I continued to inch up my progress by 1% until I got it in just over an hour. Hope this helps and provides some consistency/certainty for you guys!

Think I’ve found the new strat. You can set up a like respawn or checkpoint if you die in operator mode, now falling outside the map and hitting the bottom will send you back to the point your operator died. This can be used to spawn at the edge of orb vallis or plains of eidolon. There might be another way to make a checkpoint as I was just outside the map messing around in operator mode and managed to create a checkpoint while falling outside the map. This means when I was falling and respawning I was simply stuck in the loop, think portal terminal velocity lol. The respawn point was around ground level though and with the speed picking up it’s now respawning me every half second when I hit the bottom. You could fly to the top of the map in arcwing and mess around in operator mode to create a checkpoint at the ceiling to get a much larger fall, although with the speed you go in not sure if it would even help. It’s been 10 mins in the loop and I’m around 10% since starting. Just thought I’d share the find and help make the grind a lot more bearable

Edit - since posting my character froze in place, could still move just not falling. You can jump off your k drive and back on to start building speed up again

I'm doing exactly as you've described but I'm not getting thrown forward off my board. It throws me kind of up in the air but still in bounds so that when I get back on my board I'm not out of bounds so it doesn't glitch me through the floor.
Did this get patched?

You have to hit the corner exactly.
took me 3 tries to get it right

Don’t need to hit the corner. Just need to hit the edge of the map head on and at full speed while holding down A

Nice find! While this definitely works (I tried it as well) I feel like people always forget about the good old rubber banded controller method ;)

I was able to do this method in the Plains of Eidolon too near the ocean there is an area you can drop out of the map. I didn't have any trouble making it work. I think you just need to make sure you are facing straight at the wall and going full speed and also holding Dow A to power up your jump. I can make another video for Plains of Eidolon if anyone needs it.

Also depends on which Warframe you use. Nezha didn’t work for me, but Vauban works 100% of the time.

I’m able to get this glitch to work every time, but if I leave the game and come back later, my progress will be undone.
I went from 58-69% earlier today, went to work, and when I got back on at night I was at 64%. It seems like the game undoes the distance travelled through this glitch.
Anyone having the same problem?

Really good guide. I saved this one for last since I figured I’d add meters while grinding the standings. 3 weeks and I was only at 350k. Did the rest in a night with this method. I didn’t hit the corner either, just the northern end next to it. Thanks, though! This would have taken forever to do normally.

And for anyone wondering, you get roughly 13,000 meters per run, which includes the trip getting there. smile

It gets a bit finicky from time to time on whether or not I can reactivate the K-drive after going out of bounds, but I never struggled with going out of bounds.

When I tried rubber banding my controller, it took 8 hours to get 10%, and when I booted up the Xbox the next day the 10% gain had been erased like it never happened. It's ironic that glitching the map works and track, yet moving normally around in a circle didn't count

I did this a few times and never lost progress. When you do your boosting when finish, make sure to enter Fortuna to save your data. I would quit out afterwards and load it up few minutes later and my tracker never changed.

^ Usually when that happened to me I was able to get one jump off which let me summon the board mid-air if I was quick enough. I was usually already through the floor when I did it too.

I use to do this every time I visited Orb Vallis just to chip away at the total. Since one of the recent updates, it no longer works the same and I believe it's even better for grinding the achievement now. You can still get knocked OoB the same, but you won't be teleported back to the entrance. You can essentially fall forever and your progress keeps rising while you go afk. Once you have enough % that you're happy with, simply dismount the k-drive and you'll be sucked into an underground area that looks like where you fight the profit taker.

Haha it works. Going to idle tonight when I sleep and see how much progress I get. The screen starts to get pretty trippy the longer you let it run though laugh

xJPOLLEY's comment worked great. Only thing is that progress seems to be random. I got 7% in 30 minutes and then 30% in the next 30 minutes, and then it slowed down again. Was able to finish it idling while I did other things, didn't even need to leave it on while I slept. Glad to be done with it, but I know they'll add more achievements soon so can't be too excited.

This still works as on June 2019. Also, yes you do seem to just fall forever and odd percentages, so it is difficult to work out exactly how long it takes. 1% completion has taken anywhere from 10 seconds to 3 minutes, so no way to predict.
Also I haven’t found a way to jump back into the map and keep your massive amount of points for the ventkids, so if anyone figures that out, please let me know 😊

2020 this still works. ish. Once you start falling through the map, smash the jump button until your WarFrame responds. That’s when you know to mount the K Board.
Also waiting til you knock out all the other achievements here in Orbs and in the Plains as well. I was already 55% done with this by the time I’d finished everything everywhere else.
+1 👍🏻

Yea I can also confirm this STILL works as for 09/09/2020 (Heart of Deimos). In Orb Vallis, close to "The Pearl", WEST of the map. There is such a location. Also if you hit 3000 combo the progress for K-Driven will stop and all you need to do is stop your k-drive and enter your Archwing while still falling and stop that and return to your k-drive which resets the combo meter and continues the achievement progress.

Hope this helps! wave

I did the NW corner of the map, went out like PeriousPWN was saying, worked great! You can keep getting progress past the 3000 combo point marker.
Right now, I'm sitting in the achievement menu watching the progress tick up, it's ticking up consistently every 15 seconds or so right now as I'm not even in the game menu. :-D
So, there might be a sweet spot or something, I'm going to take a screen photo, you can always look at my profile so compare my screen.

I did go out of the map and then used the archwing to fly back up first before going back on the K-drive.
Using the starting K-Drive.

Just going in and out of operator mode will make a checkpoint, do this while falling to get stuck in the loop and afk 10-15% until you freeze

@BAAphil I can confirm the OOB methods still work.

On Fortuna,

1. Look for a side of the map that has the thinner border (I used the one at the top right corner of the map) and go there

2. Make a checkpoint to respawn (as x Tyian x advised just use operator mode and back to warframe)

3. Build speed with the k-drive and go to the edge (Do not jump), with luck you will end up in a portion that has no snow texture (it's just white), look down (so you fall OOB)

Your character will now start falling into the void, wait until you start falling slowly than the speed at what you began falling (The game freezes for like a second), now you can equip the k-drive and wait until you get teleported back to the top.

This gives you ~1% (something from 0.7% to 1.5%) of progress most of the time, so you should be done in no time.

Anyone have issues with progress not tracking when going OOB? I tried this last night and got up to ~35% before I had to run some errands. When I came back and restarted the glitch, my in game tracker would give me progress but wouldnt update the in-game achievement list or the xbox tracker

edit: popped after giving it about 2 days of downtime. Restarted glitch and after a couple meters it popped even though my trackers were stuck at 34%

As with the Marathoner achievement, I wouldn't single-mindedly go after this by straight grinding. I'm still working on other Update 24 achievements plus I use the K-Drive on other worlds and I'm at 216 km. Hopefully I'll be close to 500 km by the time I need to do dedicated grinding.
LATER: By the time I had completed all K-Drive and K-Drive compatible tasks, I was at 509 km. I ground out the rest at the Cambion Drift off the map site getting about 90 km for every 10 minutes. What a stupidly excessive achievement to cap off the stupidly excessive (and bug ridden) Update 24 group.

The "how to" is in the description of the video.
It took me around one and a half hours to go from 200k to 1 million meters.

I've tried everything you guys are saying and can only get this to work maybe 1/20 of the times I try it.
Just to see if it had something to do with mods I removed all my mods and tried it then added the two +30% speed mods and it didn't seem to change the outcome.
I also tried a bunch of different spots on the map border to no avail.

Were you guys doing this in squads or solo? Are there any circumstances you can think of that would affect this?

Can anyone confirm this method still works? I've tried multiple times to no avail. Every time I hit the edge I fall off the K-Drive and get stuck in the awful slow-mo that occurs when you're walking in the corner of the map. Does the warframe you use matter? I've been trying with Rhino Prime.

Doesn't seem to work for me. When I fling myself off the board I fly much farther than in the video. My character freezes and I can't use the board and start falling through the floor. Then I appear where I froze. I can get on the board and fall through the floor but it doesn't seem to count the distance. I know they nerfed the ventkids standing cheese so maybe they nerfed this too. Or maybe I'm just dumb, I don't know.

Found an 'infinite' spot myself haha, out in the 'Orokin Dig Center' area, Southeast corner of the map. Tried the NE corner, that flops me back to Fortuna Gates, NW corner, just does about to 150 trick score, then resets, SW corner did me to Fortuna Gates....SE corner worked like a charm for the infiinite falling while on K-Board :D

The best spot is the hole in Deimos. Just walk over the edge and use your k-drive once you start falling. Orb Vallis was getting me 1% every 15-20 min. Deimos got me 1% every minute. No need to reset the combo meter. But I got 13% in the time it took me to get to 3000. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSBO3p8OY8s If you stop falling, just reset by hopping onto your board again and it will put you at the beginning of the map.

A semi-auto AFK way to do this and get it done in about 90 mins. It's only semi because you build up so much speed it glitches, and you have to get back in place

This trophy is purely grind, if you are on Orb Vallis always be riding on your K-Drive. After finishing all the other trophies you will probably be about halfway done. You can get a +30% speed mod at max ventkid standing to help.
0

Now this trophy can be done quickly, with the update in which fast movements were added, from distant points of 3 km, get on the K-drive and move.
