How to unlock the Some Assembly Required achievement in Warframe - Definitive Guide

Disclaimer: This achievement isn't possible until after you've completed the Second Dream quest.

To build a Railjack, you'll first need access to a Dry Dock. Check out the achievement below to learn how:
WarframeGonna Need a Bigger BoatThe Gonna Need a Bigger Boat achievement in Warframe worth 72 pointsEnter the Dry Dock

You'll then need to go to the Dry Dock and you or your clan will need to research the Railjack Cephalon blueprint at one of the central kiosks there. It takes 1 hour to research.
Make sure to duplicate the blueprint for 35k after it finishes researching.

Ghost Clan x1, Shadow x3, Storm x10, Mountain x30, Moon x100
Credits: 10k
Mutagen Mass: 5
Detonite Injector: 5
Fieldron: 5
Orokin Cell: 4

Then you'll need to go to your Foundry on your Orbiter to build the blueprint. Here is that individual cost:
Credits: 25k
Mutagen Mass: 5
Detonite Injector: 5
Fieldron: 5
Orokin Cell: 2

After you receive Cephalon Cy (the Railjack Cephalon), it will immediately give you the quest Rising Tide.
There are 6 derelict parts of old railjacks you'll need to track down and repair to complete your new ship.
Check the wiki here if you need help with the quest:
https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Rising_Tide

Edit: These parts used to be very resource expensive but are much easier to build now.
Each of the 6 parts need to be built in the Dry Dock and each are very resource intensive. Each player has their own ship so you're the only one that can contribute resources to your railjack; your clan can't help. Also, each takes 12 hours to complete and cannot be rushed using Platinum.

Total cost to repair all 6 parts:
Credits: 6,000,000
*Cubic Diodes: 100
*Carbides: 120
**Copernics: 120
**Pustrels: 100
Argon Crystal: 15
Orokin Cell: 30
Neural Sensors: 30
Neurodes: 35
Morphics: 50
Control Module: 200
Rubedo: 15,000
Circuits: 5,000
Polymer Bundle: 4,500
Plastids: 3,000
Cryotic: 1,000
Alloy Plate: 27,000
Ferrite: 20,000
Salvage: 10,000
Detonite Ampule: 500
Fieldron Sample: 500

***All 4 of the new resources drop in large quantities from public Railjack missions. If you'd prefer not to do Railjack missions until after you have your own built then check out the 2 paragraphs below to find out how to farm them in other missions.

*New resources - Cubic Diodes & Carbides only drop from Eximus enemies; CD's only on Eurpoa Ice Planet tilesets and Carbides only on Ceres Shipyard tilesets. I prefer to farm them on Dark Sector nodes for the innate increased resource boosters. This means Cholistan & Larzac on Europa for CD's or Seimeni on Ceres for Carbides. Eximus enemies appear much more often on later rounds. I had over 150 of each after just a single 25 round Defense using my Smeeta Kavat.

**New resources - Copernics & Pustrels are mined in red veins on Orb Vallis & Plains of Eidolon respectively. The spots that tend to be most heavily laden with ore veins that I've found are Deck 12 on Vallis & the Twin Horns cave on Plains.

After repairing all 6 parts of the ship you'll FINALLY be able to enter your new Railjack! Congrats!

The 6 parts to repair is that a solo thing or clan?

Each player gets their own railjack so it's a solo thing. The missions for the quest (to obtain the parts) can be completed with friends but only you can contribute the resources to repair the ship parts.

6 million isn't much apparently, you can farm 500k in 10 mins on 'Index high risk' or something? I didn't look into because I've got 20 million even though I haven't played seriously in almost 4 years laugh

Well, at least it isn't as difficult as hunting down a kuva lich. But, still grindy. Good thing I still have plenty of resources left over. Since I haven't played WF in some time. Because most of my favorite mods and warframes have been neutered into obilivion. Thanks DE community.

I know it’s a lot to ask, but would you be able to add some of the best places to farm credits/materials for this?

How do you know pirate is for each player ? This achievement is about teamwork when your clan finalized railjack you got an achievement if is not that you couldn’t get the first achievement logical, the task for one player is a lot and no one have“ active “ clan easily

For those that need the credits. You can go to Neptune-Index (High Risk). You pay 50,000 credits to enter and get 250,000 back if you complete the task. With double credit booster you will get 500K per run. I played with 3 randoms and got my 500k in 5-10 min runs. Can easily get the 6 million credits in a couple hrs.

The missions are SP 100% you cannot bring friends with.
You can grind resources together but that is all.

As for resources, a resource booster definitely helps, along with a 'Desecrate' Nekros will make farming go much quicker. Choose Dark Sector nodes for an additional boost to resource drop chance. If you have any planets fully unlocked that have resources you're missing, be sure to deploy resource extractors on those for obvious reasons.

If you manage to join a Railjack mission that's an easy way to get the new resources, done two missions and have more than enough for the parts.

Allslayer, I just realized that last night also when I hopped into Empyrean. Just came here to update the solution.
It's crazy how fast you gain resources in Railjack missions. Nothing quite like it in all the rest of Warframe.

Like is said, these requirements are reduced. It only costs 600 thousand credits for example, instead of 6 million.

It is even lower now, each stage requires 25k credits. Much much easier to build it. In fact you can complete the mission in a single day. I feel silly farming most of those materials.

Major changes to the process. There are now Dry Docks in the Saturn, Europa, Eris, and Pluto Relays so clan membership is no longer required. Also the Railjack Cephalon blueprint is now purchased at the Market for 35K. You won't find it anywhere in the Dojo or Relay Dry Docks because you can't access the Railjack research console until you have a Railjack.
I don't know what petty sadist created the original design for Rising Tide but I'm glad they were forced to reduce all the requirements probably because hardly anyone was bothering to do the quest under its initial conditions.

With the start of the Update 30: Call of the Tempestarii, it is now possible to purchase a fully-built Railjack in the in-game Market for 400 Platinum. Obtaining the Railjack this way will count the Rising Tide quest as completed.
Usually a Railjack is constructed during the Rising Tide quest, which requires completion of The Second Dream.

In my case (purchased the RAILJACK CAPTAIN’S BUNDLE), I had to replay the Rising Tide quest because the Achievement didn't unlock. If you should encounter the same problem, just replay the quest as described. The quest for itself is pretty straight forward and can easily be completed within 1,5h because - due to the in-game purchase - building and repair times for the diverse components of the Railjack are no longer required.

You will get this for completing the Rising Tides quest. The missions you will have to defend a spot and not let the enemy enter the area. You will also need to destroy the Interference Drones as they stop the progress no matter where they are. The later missions will also have sentients. The Railjack will take at least 36 hours to repair all 6 parts and they cannot be sped up and have to be done in order.
