How to unlock the Gone Bowling achievement in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - Definitive Guide
I think I have a solution for this, I'll put it to the test the next time I get this map, and update the solution.
The Smelting map (industrial with molten hot metal) right at the end as you use the elevator to escape endless enemies come after you down a long hallway. They don't stop coming until you escape. So in essence - I reckon you should be able to build up a large amount of enemies by backing slowly down the hallway. Also, I'd say a shield could likely help you with this too.
I have now attained the achievement this way! I recommend bringing the shield and holding it down (wait by the elevator) and build up the enemies. Once the enemies stop coming through the door you are at max capacity and no more will spawn until killed so now take a step back and activate your charge! I did this with a friend he had the shield I forgot mine. And thanks to his shield we were both able to get it!

It's the only place I could get it.

Brilliant, I've been away so I haven't been able to try it, I'm going to try and run it solo and bring a shield and stand at the bottom of the hallway

Easier way to do It Is in private lobby with a friend or using another account through Xcloud to help you create the lobby. I used HL 17-36 High INTENSITY MAP and this can be done at start.

how is this supposed to work with xcloud? If I create a new free account on my xbox, it doesn't have gamepass, and therefore can't play darktide. I'm guessing the xcloud thing only works if you have a physical copy of the game, so your second account can play on the xbox, and your main account can play on xcloud.

Here's an easy and consistent strategy that I used to help two other people get the achievement:
At the end of the Power Matrix mission (the one where you need to place the 3 Cryonic Rods during the finale event), after you do the finale and are heading to extraction, there will be a bunch of enemies coming from a ledge to your right just after the drop-down at the end of the tunnel. I asked my team in text chat in advance to wait at extraction while I stood on the bridge between them and the horde. I kept pushing the horde back for a minute or two while they all piled up, then charged in for an easy completion.

Your best bet for this will require a Malice or higher-level difficulty and one of the new maps called the Carnival, where the level starts inside of a broken silo and you have to place a breaching charge on a brick wall, behind which will be 3 melee special enemies. You do not NEED it to be a high intensity mission, but it certainly does help to guarantee enough enemies will spawn in at once. The reason you want this particular map is because the place to do this Achievement is at the very BEGINNING of the map and not the end, making it easy to get to, set up, and rotate team members so everyone can have a shot at the Achievement.
As for loadouts, you're going to want to pick the upgrades that increases the distance of your charge to ensure you hit as many enemies as possible. You'll want to wait until the enemies have finished spawning in and they're built up in the small room where you placed the breaching charge. Once the enemies have finished spawning in, stand in the corner of the room right next to the railing and angle yourself so you can see into the next room where the enemies are spawning from. By doing this, you ensure that you're able to hit almost every enemy on the platform with you, and any that are crowding around the opening in the wall in the next room and any stragglers who are still spawning in and haven't reached your team yet.
Obviously, to make sure you don't die before the enemies have finished spawning in, you'll want two of your teammates to play as tank Ogryn who are hopefully max level and have powerful shields and tank perks equipped. Their job is to just hold the shield up (but don't push as this can damage and kill the weaker enemies) until the enemy mobs have finished spawning and the room is full of enemies. Remember to stand at the corner of the platform so you can see into the next room. To help with this, you might want another squad member to be a Zealot with stun grenades.
