How to unlock the Inquisitorial Legend achievement in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - Definitive Guide
Heresy is the fourth level of difficulty. At the time of writing this guide there are 7 different missions to complete, they are:
Assassination
Disruption
Espionage
Investigation
Raid
Repair
Strike
There is an in game Penance tracker but you need to have completed all the mission types on the lower difficulties before it will be visible for Heresy. Thanks @AntiFederal1.
Easier to complete with a pre made group in comms if possible otherwise look out for the low intensity modifiers to make life a bit easier.

Maybe some advice on how to level up in order to cope with Heresy difficulties.
What's best when changing/upgrading weapons. Is a lower damage but faster melee weapon better than a slower higher damage for example.
I feel like I'm struggling on difficulty 2 and rely on a good team to drag me on, I'd rather learn to be better and work with better gear to help more fairly

The in-game penance tracker now shows the exact mission types you are missing but to see the tracking for this achievement you have completed all mission types on Malice already.
