How to unlock the Journey of Faith achievement in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr - Definitive Guide
This guide is really just a general list of hints and tips to reaching rank 100. It might not be perfect but will give you a decent overview of this achievement (if you have more, I'll add them). Below are two links, first is me getting the achievement (and showing my character), second is just pictures with the first being important (shows my equipment and example of Psalm Doctrine). Use these for reference.

BONUS UPDATE-I've added the developer's Compendium and a new tip on getting xp on your equipment (combine this with the Fifth and Sixth tip). Credit and thanks to XEN610!

"Equipment-You want equipment with XP bonuses. You can reroll those to get as high as possible for Relic and Red Gear. An Ancient Relic Signum of Wisdom grants 50% bonus, which you can two for each weapon. I was getting about 30,000 XP a mission. Meme Viruses stack-100% for each person. When I was playing with a group of three, we would get close to 90,0000 XP a Data Intel run. I have level 3 on most Tarot Cards."
BONUS BONUS TIPs-Another tip from Biohazard071220, the game has events per week and some of them are useful such as 'Double xp on Intel Missions' or 'More xp with more players in Co-op'. This could save you some time if you're lucky!
Krieg#1238 as another decent tip if you have the Meme Viruses and are doing it Solo. A mission called 'Valorous Heart' was getting Krieg about 50,000xp per run with a Meme Virus. It's a simple mission where you just kill as many enemies as possible before the time runs out. If you have a Heat Aura and spare Meme Viruses, this can help!
Overall, if you are new, I highly recommend working on the game's general achievements while completing the Sororitas class base achievements as this will save time (simply, play the Sororitas class first if you want to timesave). It will also give you much more xp as you'll have achievements to work on which should make the grind easier to bear.
If you already have an experienced character (or even Rank 100 on another class), this will save time as you'll already have plenty of resources and other useful requirements like upgraded tarot cards.
First tip is making a Seasonal Character. You get more xp and unique missions that are set to the Season. This character is still usable even after the season ends. Don't worry about the Sub-Class you play, just pick the gameplay style that fits you (I picked Celestian).
Second tip is to play in co-op. You complete missions faster and get double xp (so if it states 20000 xp for mission completion, it is now 40000 xp). Warning-Seasonal characters and Normal characters cannot play together. If you and a friend are going to do this, communicate beforehand what type of characters you'll be.
Third tip is to play through all the Story missions/quests first. These are fun/engaging and should get you pass Rank 50. I recommend increasing the difficulty a little as it should not make much difference (and gets you more xp). The Story Campaigns (or 'Grand investigations' as the game calls them) are 'The Martyr', 'Chaos Undivided', 'Drukhari Menace', 'Khorne' and 'Prophecy'.
Fourth tip is Story choices. You'll make decisions throughout the game that are either Radical or Puritan (Radical is presented more as 'Good' which is a statement in itself in regards to Warhammer 40k). Each path has it's own benefits but I went for Radical as it has a skill that increases xp by +10%. It's up to you of course.
Fifth tip is Crafting. Once you hit Rank 50, you'll unlock the Crafting Station (where the Tech Priest is on the ship). There is an upgrade tree for this and I recommend unlocking each one as you'll need these upgrades for further crafting (making your equipment far better). It also allows 'Modify' and 'Forging' Speaking of...
Sixth tip is the use of Sockets, Shards & Codes (I recommend having decent equipment before doing this-so Red or light orange items as my character shows). Sockets allow you to add Shards & Codes to your equipment (decent equipment means you need a red item to add a Socket). Shards & Codes give benefits but in certain combinations, these benefits are crazy good (codes combined in 'Forging' are called Psalm Doctrines). Let's discuss my own character (look at the pictures as reference).
Armour (Seraphim armour)--->Phosphoenic Psalm + Technomartyr Psalm + Neuralis Psalm + Binharic Psalm (Creates a damaging aura dealing +100% Heat damage per second. 6m radius, ticks every .25 seconds). This is insane, you get a flaming circle round your character that will burn enemies and increase your damage massively!
Weapon (Boltgun)---->Hyper-rad Psalm + Terminus Psalm + Uncreator Psalm + Aegis Psalm (+100% Damage to all Rifle Skills). Increased damage to main weapon is always decent!
Terminus Psalm + Haemo-drain Psalm + Volkite Psalm (+200% Bleeding damage bonus against enemies in 8 meter radius).
Weapon (Flamer)----->Phosphoenic Psalm + Binharic Psalm + Volkite Psalm + Terminus Psalm (+125% Heat Damage. Affects Constructs as well). A Flamer that does even more damage and combined with the Heat Aura? Yes please!
These are just an example of what I was using but if you want a full list, the guide by Soli below will list all of the possible combinations (remember to add on Shards if you have spare Sockets, the more you have, the better!). Also, the 'Modify' section of the Crafting is useful for increasing stats on your equipment. Using my Bolter as an example, turning '+12 Ranged Damage Bonus' into '+21 Ranged Damage Bonus' makes some difference, believe me!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=22946...
Seventh tip is your Skills and Perks. Now, this is down to how you want to play but I'll explain what I did as my Bolter and Flamer was a decent combination throughout. I put skills into Ranged Combat, Single DPS, Area Effects, Damage over Time, Critical Hits, Heat Attacks, Health and Banners (and some Radical). I only did Banners due to the achievement involving Banners but you can choose whatever you wish (I would have picked Speed as moving faster is very useful). The rest all increase the damage of my Bolter and Flamer to crazy levels. Health is obvious as surviving is important.
Perks make your character better as well, I personally went for Close Quarter Gunnery (+25% Ranged Damage Bonus against targets within medium range), Blessing of Saint Victorius (Can't lose more than 30% of max HP to a single hit) and Artificer Rounds (25% additional ammo capacity, 20% damage boosts to solid projectile weapons).
Eighth tip is that of Intels, Meme Viruses (more xp) and Tarot Cards. You should now have a decent build and be about level 50-60 at this point. This is now your end game point as you should just be grinding (activate Meme Virus, pick Intel and put on three Tarot Cards). IMPORTANT-You'll want to upgrade one Tarot Card and that's 'Murder' (this increases xp on a mission). You'll pick up 'Uther's Tarot Cards' in missions and will want to use these to upgrade this card. One big problem....the game upgrades a card randomly. This sucks and you'll have to allow each card to reach 10/10 before you upgrade 'Murder'. Once you hit this point, upgrade 'Murder' and ONLY 'Murder'. Don't upgrade anything else.
I would also go to options and turn off picking up certain items (Green and Blue). This means less time selling/scrapping and more items that actually matter. Don't forget to upgrade Attributes on your character too (I went for Contempt personally).
So, in the video link on reddit, I'm completing an Intel mission and have three Tarot Cards on; The Heretek Forge (adds two levels-higher level means more xp so get used to red level missions), Murder (more xp) and Perseverance (higher chance of consumables-means more Intels and Meme Viruses). This was getting me 19000-24000 xp per mission (this is solo. I did the achievement about 99% solo so co-op should be way faster. If the mission level is too high (too difficult basically), change The Heretek Forge with something like 'The Archeotech Vault'.
I hope these tips help you in achieving Rank 100 and purging enemies in the name of the Emperor! As always, if you have additional tips, add them below (this achievement took me one month and a small bit by the way if you want a timescale).
