The 'Ard Boyz are the ones using big steel shields.

The best way to kill them is with a charged plasma pistol shot which knocks them down, giving you enough time to finish them off.

I found that you can also throw grenades behind them.

@DarthPootle

I got enough just by completing the story.

They don't ever appear in great numbers, most I ever got at one time was two or so. The first start appearing after that brief cutscene with an Odd Boy where he teleports one in.

Can't remember the chapter unfortunately.

'Ard Boyz are the Orks that carry the shields. They are tough to take down, but to take them down use either grenades or the Vengeance Launcher. Range is not really an option (because of the shield) and melee is only smart when not on Hard. You'll encounter these guys during chapter 6 or 7.

'Ard Boyz are the Orks that you see starting during Chapter 6/7 that carry the red riot shields. The Vengeance Launcher take 3 shots to kill an 'Ard Boy, and grenades can bypass their shields as well. Wailing on them in melee is liable to get you killed, as their shields will absorb most of the damage.
