How to unlock the Charitable Contributions achievement in WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate - Definitive Guide

One very important detail not discussed in the other two guides involves a glitch in one of the requests. The Mystic has a request to beat 500 "Curse Sorcerers". Well, beat as many of them as you want, you'll never make progress on this request. What she really means is "Charm Sorcerers". So when you accept the request for Curse Sorcerers just be aware that you need to kill Charm Sorcerers.

No idea. If you accept the request and killing Curse Sorcerers doesn't cause the counter to go up (check with the Mystic), I'd try Charm Sorcerers. It's completely obtainable, the request is just mis-labeled.

This is one of the biggest grinds in the game, but there's no specific guide in order to do all of these, as Gauntlet mode is pretty much random, but here are some tips for some of the bigger pains of it.

I highly recommend stacking a lot of the challenges that involve killing X officer, X amount of enemies, X amount of officers, etc. This will greatly reduce the amount of time spent on it.

As far as your team goes, I used Xu Shu with a 5 Star weapon, specifically his 5 Star that you create through Gauntlet mode, with Brawn, Windslay, Flak, Courage, Agility, etc. The other characters I used were Sima Zhou, Lu Bu, Orochi X and whoever I wanted to level up. The reason I recommend Xu Shu, is that when I promoted him a few times, pumped up his speed and put on items like Charm of Alacrity and another speed booster, not only did he have 999 Attack, but also had 250+ speed, making him faster on foot than most mounts. Not only that, but put some items into Musou recovery, and he'll be unstoppable. His R1 attack basically breaks the game, making it manageable at lvl 120 Miasma.

For some requests, like kill 999 Enemy Officers, the first DLC Stage (accessed after completing Gauntlet mode once and by pressing X on your controller) is great, as there are TONS of officers spawning like crazy.

For the Repel 500 of whoever, you can alter the levels by using 5 keystones, but I don't recommend this until you've exhausted your options. Some enemies, like Escape Ninjas, only appear on Purple Keystone stages, while others like Glacier Swordsmen and the like appear on Yellow.

For enemies like Archers, Hurlers, Tigers and Wolves, they don't appear on the mini map as a group of enemies like Rikishi. In these situations, it's best to run around until you spawn a group of them from a Miasma Pool to maximize efficiency instead of running around willy nilly looking for them.

The biggest, most painful grind, was 999 Famous Officers and 999 Otherworld Invaders. For these, stack them as all Otherworld Invaders are Famous Officers, and they count towards both. The best levels I would play for these are the levels where the name is glowing in Red Text. On these levels, they spawn at a higher frequency (a group of 5 every 5 minutes). The best thing I would do is choose a large level. On large levels, you'll often see "A treasure chest has been changed by the surrounding miasma". When this happens, the chest will change to red on the mini map, and when you open it, it will spawn 5 Otherworld Invaders. On larger levels, like Toushi, I would often get about 40-60 invaders in about 20 minutes. Even at that rate, it'll take HOURS to complete all of the requests. On the levels where you're grinding these invaders, find a garrison with a climbable tower. Enemies won't be able to hit you or climb up. Just sit there once you map out the level and wait for the chests to change or the invaders to spawn, then run down, wreck them, and run back.

Good luck achievement hunters!

Would you say this is the biggest grind in all Warriors Orochi games? How long did it take you?

I started doing gauntlet and did some. Or guess I should say, could you post all contracts we have to complete or just the total number overall?

Just an update you might want to include - I found Escape Ninja on Yellow levels so they are not exclusive to purple - but they are definitely elusive!

I also found my Escape Ninjas on a Yellow Keystone level. You might want to mention that when the game is asking you to repel 500 curse sorcerers, you actually need to kill 500 charm sorcerers.

Sorry for the dumb question but do Officers that are "enveloped in miasma", "a link to the other world" and "a lover of chaos" count as Otherworld Invaders or are they just powered up enemies?

This doesn't sound as grindy as Warriors Orochi 2's "unlock all Dream stages". One of them required:

Sum of all character proficiency levels equals 2,730 or more.

This also unlocked Orochi-X (all characters achievement) and "All Achievements" achievement. That one took me months.

You can find Supply Troops and Escape Ninjas on level 3 in yellow keystone stages. Those are probably the two most rare troops required for the requests. I altered the boss stage because the boss stages are guaranteed 3 stages and therefore increases your chances of finding one of those troops. Altering other stages can give 4 or 5, but they could also give you 1 or 2. It isn't a guaranteed 3 like the boss stage.

Cheers @xDartz xNVx I was wondering why my tally for Curse Sorcerers wasn't going up. Yet another translation error.

One thing that might be good to keep in mind is Glacier Swordsmen, Wicked Swordsmen, and Wolves can all be found on the DLC map Koshi Castle so if you are farming Mystic weapons using the "Defeat Orochi in under 3.5 minutes" method, you can knock those 3 requests out at the same time.

I'll update the solution with all of them when I get home from work tomorrow. It took me on and off about 2-3 weeks of consistent playing to unlock the achievement. Out of all of the Warriors series of games I've played, it is by far the grindiest, with my profile saying over 250 hours played (again, some of it was idle time when I went to sleep and forgot to shut off my console). I still have 38% of the Mystic Weapons to go as well.

To answer your other question, there are 80 Requests in Gauntlet mode, some of which are unlocked the more times you complete it. When you complete it the 3rd time and all levels are unlocked to play, you should have all 80 requests open to you.

Thanks you for the info. I enjoy my dynasty games but man. This totally is a grind fest. That is with this, doing mystic weapons, cards and doing all special rush attacks(not hard but takes a bit due to loading).

That I wasn't sure of @Captain Redeye. I killed them all anyway because I could, but usually every 5 minutes a group of 5 Otherworld Invaders would spawn, so I would pick a map with lots of towers, get my best character on top of it, and wait til they would spawn and then pick them off. I'm pretty sure invaders would spawn from Red Chests as well.

This is specificly for those who are struggling with finding Escape Ninjas and Supply Troops. I have seen all over the internet that these were the too that gave people problems finding.

There is a DLC pack you can purchase (£4.59- WO3U Dungeon Pack, has a picture of a musical noe on the pic) in which it has a level which guarantees Escape ninjas, Supply troops and many other enemies. The only problem is that even though they are in this level sometimes they do not appear as i played it 3 times in a row and got none. Also they do not appear in great numbers i was getting between 1-5% increases per level.

I had been using crystals to modify levels for a good day but still didn't find escape ninjas. But then I found that solution so i decided to use it.

For those that want to look through levels to find the escape ninjas. Collaborating all information found from the internet i would suggest using level 3, bottom right hand corner yellow stage. (This is your teleportation to level 4 stage.) It has three levels guaranteed on it so a higher chance of finding them.

In Gauntlet Mode you'll find the Mystic woman who gives various requests, these are optional tasks. Keep checking back with the Mystic and accepting/completing them as you get them. Once you finish them head back to the Mystic and Report them to pick up new ones. There are 80 Requests you must complete.

[Important]
When told to defeat Curse Sorcerers it means Charm Sorcerers.
Don't confuse Flame Archers with Inferno Archers.

[Note]
• You can only have 5 active requests at a time, and those must be completed before others can be selected.
• You can use the Alter Stage option () on a stage to change the type of troops that appear in it.

General Tips
• Many Requests such as the set of "Unparalleled ___" and "___ Badge" requests are the same with just an increased count, unlock them all by progressing through Gauntlet Mode an select these all at once.
• Wait and take the quests "War against Otherworlders/Final Battle" & "Unparalleled Hero/Conqueror"(And optionally "In Search of Might"/"Ultimate Might") for maximum time efficiency.
• When checking your completion % towards a request use a calculator(Google's is great) to calculate your percentage from the requirement to find out exactly how much you have remaining.

Request Specific Tips:
Defeat officer 5 times - Find a stage where this character appears, defeat them and wait for him/her to respawn (see The Ties that Bind).

"Repel Troops" - Specific types of troops appear in specific stages similarly to officers, check which during stage selection. Additionally try to play stages with as few types of troops as possible(2-3, 1 works even better) so more of the exact troop types you're looking for appear. You can also accept specific Troop requests to advantageously coincide with this. Stages named in red will spawn special officers with "a link to other world", these officers will constantly spawn the stages Troops around them allowing you to easily farm them. (Stages have a chance to turn red every time you exit and re-enter Gauntlet Mode, use this to turn stages that have your desired troop types red) - Thanks Akuro19

Escape Ninjas are the most rarest and difficult to find Troop types, for a semi-surefire way to find them, keep altering Purple Keystone stages or head to Level 3 in Gaunlet Mode and keep altering Yellow and Blue Keystone stages. (Thanks Darkshenron).

"Defeat Otherworldy Invaders" - Otherworldly Invaders only appear every 5 minutes, however there are two other ways to cause them to appear so that you may efficient farm Otherworldly Invaders. The first is to play Purple Keystone stages and open red chests, which will spawn a few of them. The second is to livestream your gameplay which enables Viewer Interations, then have someone else or yourself type #Interfere into the chat, this will spawn a set of Otherworldly Invaders, do note however that this has a delay and cannot be spammed. (PS4 Only)

Rare Troops:
Otherworldly Invaders are found in high numbers on red text stages. Wait for the treasure chests to go red/purple, then open them to spawn five Otherworldly Invaders.
I've found "Supply Troops" on a red keystone stage on level one, in the upper left of the little square of stages.
I've found "Escape Ninjas" on a cyan keystone stage on level three, in the lower right of the little square of stages.

The longest trophy in the game. There are 80 quests in total in Gauntlet. I advise you to do them on the 4th and after the 4th passage (finishing). Below is a small guide:

Take all 5 Badge orders at once, wait until Conqueror's Badge appears and then accept Badge orders.

Ultimate Might and the rest are optional, because all defeated officers count.

Wait for the Unparalleled Conqueror and Final Battle quests. The first is to defeat 999 known officers (these are the ones that appear with respawn). The second is to defeat 999 guests from another world. Don’t take both at once, take all related guest assignments and known ones at once, first one, then the other. Regarding Final Battle - there are three ways to fill this counter: the first is to wait every 5 minutes until a guest appears - then defeat it. The second is to open red chests (only available at red levels (not with a red crystal, but with a red name) *), and the most chests are usually found at levels with a purple crystal. The third (only available for PS4) is to stream gameplay, then enter #Interfere. However, keep in mind that this method has a delay.

Defeating... 5 times is an easy task, plus some of them appear in addition to famous officers - as guests or at the request of allies. It’s easier to fill with known ones, since such ones will respawn sooner or later.

Repel 500... is the most tedious task, and there are exactly 40 of them. Both the mini-commander of the troops and the soldiers themselves count. Let's take a closer look at this option:

Some troops do not appear on the map (Archers, Tigers, Wolfs, etc.) - there are two ways to catch them. The first is to look on the map for regular red dots (not the ones with an officer or mini-commander, but regular ones). But it will be easier here if there are fewer troops on the map. The less, the more chances to catch. The second is to run around the Dragon Portals and hit them there.

The fewer troops there are on the map, the better and easier it is to fill out orders. Although this is not always possible, with fewer troops you spend less time.

If you can’t find any troops, click on level selection until you run out of crystals (you can get them by completing the level with Solstice Formation, using Getaway) or until you find the right army. If you run out of crystals, exit Gauntlet mode (the game will not be saved and when you return to the game you will have crystals again).

Enemies may appear near the Dragon Portal. These will always be both ordinary Orochi soldiers and various troops. Use this to your advantage and stuff there if necessary.

There is a typo in the translation of the Curse Sorcerer order - you do not need them, but the Charm Sorcerer. Also keep in mind that Inferno and Fire are not the same thing.

The rarest ones in the game are Escape Ninja and Supply Troop. The first ones can be found on level 3 with yellow or blue crystals, turning them over using the button (I just DO NOT recommend doing it at Crater or DLC levels - very few of them appear there and only waste more time). The second ones are either at levels with a purple crystal, or at the 2nd level (red crystal) in this cell
.

At levels with a red name* you can find officers with a “link to other world” - if you don’t defeat them too quickly, troops will appear next to them.

* - red names are constantly changing. This depends directly on exiting/entering the Gauntlet, entering/exiting a level, and reloading the game.

If during your epic battle you killed a lot of the necessary opponents, and then, without looking at them, died, don’t be too upset. The experience and progress of knocked out opponents will still transfer, but knocked out weapons and items will not.
