How to unlock the Heroes from Beyond achievement in WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate - Definitive Guide

I unlocked this achievement through story mode. Most characters are unlocked by completing side missions. The missions to unlock these characters are the following:

Momiji - Battle of Wan Castle - Unlock Requirements: Clear Chapter 3 and begin conversation between Jia Xu and Ryu Hayabusa.

Kasumi - Battle of Yan Province - Unlock Requirements: Begin conversation between Nemea, Diaochan, and Ayane.

Sterkenburg - Battle of Xu Province - Unlock Requirements: Begin conversation between Sun Shangxiang, Yoshimoto Imagawa, and Motochika Chosokabe.

Sophitia - Battle of Liaodong - Unlock Requirements: Begin conversation between Sun Jian, Nene, and Masanori Fukushima.

I have unlocked all four of these characters, but I didn't get the achievement. Has anyone else had the same problem, and if so, is there a simple solution?

I'm experiencing this problem as well. All 4 unlocked but no achievement. Replaying the stages did not help.

Same here. Got them all unlocked and even have Kasumi and Momiji level 100 on my team but no achievement

I did not have the problem, and to my knowledge there weren't any patches or updates to the game to cause the glitch. Not sure what to tell you guys.

For those it's glitched for, here seems to be an issue if you turn off your Xbox without quiting out of the game, then resuming. This caused another couple of achievements to not unlock for me.

I can confirm what SolidMoogle said. I just replayed a story mission from chapter 1 and after the mission was over this achievement popped. Now I can finally try and finish this game!!

Alright, so only the card one is now not possible anymore. Did only 1 special rush yet and it appears on the progress counter so that would be fine. Thanks!

how do you make the characters talk? Do you just need character in your party and they will talk to that person?

You need to have unlocked all the characters mentioned in the conversation. In the camp, the group should be standing together. Simply talk to the group.

So as far as the idle glitch goes, does anybody know if unlocking them in gauntlet mode would count for this achievement after they've already been unlocked in story mode but didn't count for this achievement due to the glitch? Or am I gonna have to delete my save to get this achievement?

Glitched for me. And I'm playing for more than 48 hours, no way I'm starting again. :(

*edit* I just unlocked Sterkenburg and now I know for a fact I have missed this achievement and probably also Card Collector. So I went ahead and also sent their support a ticket.

How do you unlock Kasumi? I don't have Battle of Yan Province showing up in Chapter 2. I'm already at chapter 6. I have the other 3 characters unlocked.

As soon as you unlock Nemea, Diaochan, and Ayane, you should see them show up in your camp. You just need to go talk to them and it unlocks. If there are a bunch of other people in your camp instead, it means there is a backlog of conversations and you need to clear them out.

Although I got the character and the silver card , % toward these two achievements(Heroes from beyond & card collector) will not rise up. So the card collector achievement won't unlock finally , is that right???

Yes I realize that what I am asking is how to make them trigger again. So if you unlock x character after say chapter 3 (and it's the last one in needed group) then the group should be there. So if you did what I did and ignored talking to people in camp (which I did that was stupid of me) I am uncertain what I should do to make these conversations open again. I have every single character unlocked but these last two so... I am just unsure what to do to get these missions unlocked to unlock the final two.

It really comes down to just flipping through the characters and talking to who's showing up to clear out the conversation cache; there's no real tips there.

Well I am at 256 of 290 cards and I have 2 characters still to unlock in gauntlet mode. Next time I play WO3U I will see if I can figure out which cards I am missing and see if I should have any of them that I don't.

I worked on cards today, listed all gold ones I was missing, looked up what each needed from the guide. Now based on percentage, I have 14.7 cards left with 14 people to either max out proficiency or do their hard levels. So I might be in the clear.

Well that is shit.

I saw your comment on http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60816....
So lets say I got the sign-in glitch during the recruit Kasumi mission for example does it bugs all the other story related achievements like recruit Yinglong? Even though I closed the game and shutdown the xbox numerous times after the initial glitch?

If all the other story achievements are basically unobtainable I will start anew other wise I will just ignore this one for the time being.

No. if it just affected that one mission, then Yinglong's achievement would not be prevented. However, it would prevent you from getting the strategy card achievement (as recruiting a character unlocks the silver card).

If you did a triple rush during the fight, that would also be affected.

If you earned a mystic weapon though, that can be rectified by discarding the weapon and re-earning it.

Can anyone say what chapters you are supposed to be able to trigger these conversations? I know which character I am missing and apparently I just didn't talk to the people. Everyone keeps saying "oh just change characters and the people you are supposed to talk to will pop eventually" I don't know that that is true. If you could say after chapter x you should be able to talk to a, b, and c characters would be super helpful. It's not just on this site but ALL guides I have found don't include which chapter is likely to trigger the people to converse with

@Darthchewee I completely failed to check and I meant to. I would like to know this too though if anyone can check for us. I only have 7 achievements left but if the card achievement is still glitched I would rather put the time into something else.

I asked in my support ticket if the fix was for all trophies/achievements or just this one and this is what I got back:
We didn't address an issue other than the achievements "Heroes from Beyond" and "Friends reunited" since we had not received any other bug reports when preparing the patch.
We haven't decided any correction plan yet in the future.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

For those still wondering about this, there is one piece of information missing from this guide that is important. In order to unlock most of these conversations to unlock side stages you have to raise the bonds between the specified characters to the first level in order to unlock their conversations. Once you have raised their bonds to level one you then need to clear a stage with the 2 or 3 required characters. Once you have completed a stage with the required characters and are back in the camp change to different characters that are not one of the required characters. If the characters required do not appear in camp standing together talk to everyone that is standing around and then change to another character that is not one of the required characters. Keep changing characters one at a time and having all available conversations until you find the conversation you are looking for. Also remember to speak to the unamed officers as well, soldier, general, ninja, etc. Talk to anyone standing around in your camp except the one officer that tells you to go this way to face the Hydra. Some conversations require other conversations to take place first in camp to unlock.

13 characters were introduced with Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate.

[Important]
• Bonds is a common way of unlocking various stages and characters, see below in conjunction with Otherworldy Bonds for situations that call for Bonds.
• In some situations you must be playing as a certain character at camp for specific characters to appear in the camp (Pause => Change Character).

[Tip] Change your camp character to refresh the characters available for conversation at camp, characters who unlock stages will not disappear until you talk to them and pick up the stage they grant.

Momiji:
Clear Chapter 3 and play as Jia Xiu at the camp. Talk to Ryu Hayabusa, this will grant you access the stage Battle of Wan Castle in Chapter 3, complete this stage to unlock Momiji.

Kasumi:
At the camp you play as either Nemea, Diaochan or Ayane. Initiate a conversation between them to unlock Battle of Yanzhou in Chapter 2, complete this stage to unlock Kasumi.

Sterkenburg:
At camp play as either Motochika Chosokabe, Yoshimoto Imigawa or Sun Shangxiang. Initiate a conversation between them to unlock Battle of Xuzhou in Chapter 2, complete this stage to unlock Sterkenberg.

Sophitia Alexandra:
At camp play as either Sun Jian, Nene or Masanori Fukushima. Initiate a conversation between them to unlock Battle of Liaodong in Chapter 2, complete this stage to unlock Sophitia Alexandra.

Yinglong:
Yinglong is unlocked automatically in Chapter 7.

Tamamo:
Complete the final stage of the main story Showdown at Odawara Castle (Chapter 8).

Kyubi:
After completing the main story (Chapter 8) talk to the soldier by the Blacksmith to unlock the stage Escape from the Mystic Realm in Chapter 7, complete it to unlock Kyubi.

Rachel:
Clear the Battle of Anegawa in Chapter 2 and initiate conversation between Ding Feng and Lianshi after raising their bonds with each other to Lv2, this will grant access to the stage Battle of Jiangdong. Complete this stage to unlock Rachel.

Shennong:
Initiate conversation between Fu Xi and Himiko after after raising their bonds with each other to Lv2, this will grant access to the stage Defense of Yangping Gate in Chapter 3. Complete this stage to unlock Shennong.

Hundun:
Complete Guantlet Mode's storyline for the first time (see The Conqueror's Den).

Seimei Abe:
After clearing the stage Battle of Shouchun in Chapter 1 initiate a conversation between Wang Yuanji, Hanbei Takenaka, and the soldier. This will grant access to the stage Struggle for Ueda Castle in Chapter 1, complete it to unlock Seimei Abe.

Nezha (Human):
Complete the stage War in the Mystic Realm in Chapter 7.

Xu Shu:
Complete the Battle of Yiling - Redux in Chapter 1. Talk to Huang Zhong, Ma Dai, and Xu Shu at camp.
