How to unlock the The rich get richer achievement in Wartales - Definitive Guide

I found the fastest and also most profitable way to level up the Trade and Craftsmanship path is to aim for the “Professional Merchants” challenge (sell 10 wares for 50% profit). Make sure to drop 3 knowledge points into Specialised Training for the extra PP; that will save you a lot of time in all the paths.

The best way to do this is to eat a Broker’s Table feast which gives a Purchase price of traces goods reduction by 20% (25% for delicious) and a Seed Sausage for sales of trade goods increase by 10% (15% for delicious). Delicious isn’t necessary for this but you’ll get extra Krowns. Also, drop a point in “Skillful Merchants” for an additional sell price of 10%. Seed Sausage and The Broker’s Table recipe are found in the Grinmeer province of Gosenberg. I forgot where exactly so if someone wants to chime in, I will update the guide.

Once you eat the food, buy all 15 of the trade goods in a province, and run to the neighboring province town and you’ll be selling them for more than double the cost, close to triple sometimes. The Professional Merchants challenge states you only need to sell for 50% but that must be a wrong cause it requires double from what I’ve seen. Selling all 15 wares will get you the guaranteed 5 PP plus you’ll be halfway to another 5 PP. Buy another 15 wares from the current town and move on to the next etc, eating the necessary food items again when needed. You’re getting 15 PP from just 2 trips. Took me 1 hour to get level 11 and 12 of the path completed.

You can also supplement the PP gains along the way with “Producer” challenge for 3 PP (make 20 items using camp materials). Always have someone assigned to a meat drying rack, Tanning Rack, Workshop, Brewing Vat, Beehive etc. You’ll also be making small PP gains in “Boss”, “Good Payer”, “Trade Mission”, and “Gourmet” along the way, but “Professional Merchants” is the big winner.

So to sum it up you just need to be able to make Seed Sausage and The Broker’s Table feast and you can grind this out super quick and make easy Krowns along the way. Just running from town to town on hopefully connected trade routes for the faster run time on paved roads.

To actually finish the Path though, you will need to build the travel posts and then connect the routes. Each level in the Path will let you connect 1 more travel post with a trade route. Starting from level 8 to 12 will give the requirements needed to connect the 6 regions.

All you need to do to efficiently level up this path is find a trader selling items at a discount. You can tell something is discounted by a green border around the item they’re selling. Once you’ve found a trader selling something at a discount, buy all of it and sell it right back to them, and just keep repeating this. Items stay discounted even after buying from them and selling them back. Each time you buy 100 discounted items, you are rewarded with 3 points towards this path.

Ideally, you want to find a trader selling cheap items that you may have a lot of, such as components. I got lucky and stumbled upon one selling some mosquito proboscis’. While they were only selling a handful, the good thing is that I had about 50 already in my inventory. So once I bought the discounted few, I then had over fifty to just keep selling and buying back repeatedly. Note that you may lose a substantial amount of Krowns doing this, avoiding this is possible though. I’ve found certain items at a discount sell for the same amount they are bought at. In Vertruse, I had sold a trader two strange tubers earlier in my play through, I came back to see they were selling them at a discount. I did the process for a bit and didn’t lose any money, but I realized it was just too slow with 2 items. With that being said, if you don’t mind losing Krowns, try to do the first method, if you do, try the second.

Amazing solution friend! May I add that discounted salt worth 1 krown either to buy or sell thus leaving your bankroll intact. You should have already some on you and there are always at least 40 to buy at the market. Cheers mate.
