The champion of Tiltren is Matthias Lund, who's located at the bottom right of the map. Matthias is an extremely difficult fight for lower leveled players due to his powerful attacks and ability to crush through armor. Matthias' stats can scale, which means he's always going to be tanky IF YOU PLAY ON ADAPTIVE DIFFICULTY. This fight is much easier on fixed difficulty. If you're having trouble with this fight make sure you didn't choose adaptive difficulty.

Matthias's only two attack are Lucille's Judgement and Lucille's wrath. Judgement lets you know which person he's targeting, while Wrath is his devastating sweep attack.

The only tips I can give is to attempt this fight with a large and leveled party. Smaller parties and inexperienced of 3-4 struggle immensely here, while large parties of 5-6 work well. Spam attack that do damage over time in this fight since you'll be doing a lot of running around. Bleed and poison are your best friends here. And definitely bring at least one archer, that's a safe way to get constant damage on him while your other party members fight him. Also note that Matthias can ONLY attack 4 times a round. This means with a sufficiently large party you can keep hitting him while he can't fight back.
