How to unlock the Doppelganger achievement in Wasteland Remastered - Definitive Guide
The cloning process itself requires a character with 22 intelligence and 3 spare skill points as well as a jug that you can pick up at shops around the world.
The problem with Sleeper Base is that every door is locked and requires a specific Secpass to open.
On the first level, collect Secpass 3 from middle of the second row of small rooms. Use Secpass 3 to open the ‘library' in south east corner. Teach a character level 1 of Clone Tech. Walk out and left and then down to get to the ladder between levels. Kill the enemy and progress down to level 2.
Use Secpass 3 on the first door. Walk north to the line of rooms against the northern wall and use Secpass 3 to open the 2nd door on the right. Use your best perception character on the messy drawers, loot the Secpass A and run back to the ladder and drop down to level three.
Level three's first door is another Secpass 3. Follow the wall right and open the first door on the right with Secpass A. There's a desk on the left side of the room, use your best picklock to open this and collect the Secpass 7 and the power converter. Backtrack to the ladder and back up to level 2.
This time it's the room in the northeast corner. Use Secpass 7 to open this door. Once inside, use the power converter to restore power to the synthesizer. Speaking of which, it's our next place to visit. There's a room of tanks of advanced armour. Follow the corridor on the left side of here down to the second door. Secpass A on the door and you're through.
Walk up to the console. Run system diagnostics first. Step back, use the clone tech skill that you picked up earlier on the synthesizer. Step up once more, choose run system diagnostic again. Choose to 'Install Manual Outflow Device' . Step off once more. Use the jug you brought with you on the synthesizer. Finally diagnostics come back ready. Create the clone fluid and collect it (preferably the character you want to clone) The cloning pods are in the south east corner of this level. Follow the corridor up, right and then down. Secpass A to open this final door. Trade the fluid to the character you want to clone. Execute a battle round and the fluid carrier do a single player run so they are left on their own. Swap to the solo character and walk up to the pod. If done correctly, you'll get pushed back and the jug will appear lootable on the floor next to you. The clone needs time before you can collect them.
One final step here is to leave the facility and camp for a while (I camped for a day to be safe). Return to the clone pods. If you have a spare slot in your team you can walk up to the appropriate console and release the clone. Otherwise you'll need to choose to disband one of your three non original characters (Christina, Ace, Mayor Pedros etc.). The clone has no gear so it would be wise to trade all the useful items to another character before disbanding. The achievement pops when the clone is successfully released. You have the chance to name them here or even reload your previous save if you want to continue without the cloned character.
If you prefer a video of this slightly lengthy solution, I created this:
For this achievement, you will need to make sure you keep at least three skill points available when entering Sleeper Base so someone can learn the Clone Tech ability. You'll get additional skill points as you raise your IQ, so if you don't have any go level up a few times and increase your IQ to get a few banked. Follow the story walkthrough for the steps to create a clone. For this achievement, you MUST hire the clone into your party, so I'd suggest saving before you dismiss someone just in case you don't want the clone around and like your current party. However, cloning your most powerful party member is usually an upgrade.
