Then, go north, sticking to the left side of the stream. You will note two trees with a conspicuous gap in between. Have one of your characters use their Perception Skill on this spot, and a notification will alert you to the cave entrance. Have another of your characters use the "Rope" item, and you will affix it to the entrance so you can climb down and into the cave.
In the cave, you will be obstructed by some piles of rubble. In order to traverse these obstacles, have one of your characters use the 'Climb' skill.
Having done so, you will then encounter Rex who is a moderately difficult feral dog that should still be fairly easily dispatched by a full compliment of starting characters.
As soon as you kill Rex, your achievement will pop. A heart-broken Bobby will erect a grave for his canine companion upon your exit from the cave, and will confront you when you attempt to leave Highpool.
The, Pants, Party
In Highpool, you can speak with Bobby in the bottom-left corner of the map and type in Cave, Rex, and Jackie to learn about the secret cave and the dog guarding the missing mutant. Find this cave between the two trees on the left edge of the map and use a rope to climb down. Inside, you can use a match as soon as you enter (without moving) to make Rex a little weaker, but this is not required for the achievement. You'll need to have the Climb skill on one of your characters so you can get on top of the rocks blocking your progress further into the cave, then fight Rex and the achievement will unlock when he's dead.
