How to unlock the Eternity Can Waits achievement in Weird West: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
This achievement is earned at the very end of the game in Chapter 5 as the Oneirist. You'll reach a point in the story where you have to follow your brand, which leads to a little house in "Foxglove". In Foxglove you'll need to answer several questions about your experience as a "passenger". Eventually you'll be asked to judge Essex. When questioned about Essex use these answers and he'll be spared.
A: Say you didn't know and ask for forgiveness.
A: Spare Essex--he doesn't deserve to die.

Do you see him in chapter 5? I got to the end and he’s already dead.
