How to unlock the Getting the Gang Back Together achievement in Weird West: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
While this sounds like a fairly straightforward trophy, there are a few things you need to keep in mind to keep all your heroes alive until the end.
Here is a list of things you need to have done in each chapter to be able to get this trophy.
Chapter 1 & 2 - The Bounty Hunter and the Pigman have nothing special you need to do. As long as you complete their journey’s they’ll be ready to be taken to the temple at the end. There is something optional with the Pigman, but we’ll go over that for chapter 5.
Chapter 3 - The Protector has the option of becoming a Wiindigo in his journey. This happens if you do the greedy things like selling the sheriff’s badge, selling the titles to the people’s land and not accepting the truce. As long as he does not turn into the Wiindigo at the end you can still get this trophy but there is something we need to do in Chapter 5.
Chapter 4 - At the end of the Werewolf you have the option of activating or destroying the blood moon. You need to destroy the blood moon otherwise everyone will be hostile towards you in Chapter 5. I have not found a way to do this in Chapter 5 if you activate the Blood Moon because even if you sneak in to speak to him, he will be hostile and attack.
Chapter 5 - Once you are tasked with bringing the old heroes to the Broken Steppe, you can immediately go and bring the Bounty Hunter. Talk to her at her house and she’ll meet you at the temple.
If you destroyed the blood moon the same will be for the werewolf. Talk to him at Absolution Hall and he’ll meet you there.
I’m not sure if this happens 100% of the time. But if you travel to Cedar Flat at all during Chapter 5 before this quest, there’s a chance that you’ll find that the Pigman has been strung up by the townsfolk and is going to be left for dead. You have to rescue him or he will die and you cannot bring him alive. I don’t believe there is a way of doing this without making the townsfolk angry at you as they will just keep standing there and watching. Make sure to save before attempting this. The best way I found to deal with this was to run up, release the Pigman and he’ll start fighting everyone. Quickly find a horse and steal it to run away out of town. Travel a small distance and then come back. The townsfolk will still be hostile to you but if you don’t fight back, you can either pay your fine or serve the time in jail. After that, you’ll find the Pigman in the jeweller's shop again (as long as he was alive when you ran away).
Lastly, the Protector. If you travel to the Thriving Place where he should be, speak to anyone there and they’ll say he went to Fort Glenn to help stop the mutiny. Once you arrive there you’ll find everyone is hostile and there’s no sign of the Protector. Work your way to the back corner where there are a bunch of graves and you’ll hear some banging. Turns out they buried the Protector alive so you need to dig him up. *IMPORTANT* If you leave this area without digging him up, he will die! So make sure to at least fight the enemies near the back corner and use a shovel to dig him out (the grave is marked with his name). Once freed he’ll leave and return back to the Thriving place where you can easily send him to the temple.
With all 4 at the temple alive, when you go back and interact with it, you’ll get the trophy.

Do you know if it's possible to get Across Rivers' equipment back?
I had some pretty good gear on him, but when I dig him up, he has nothing.
I knocked out everyone in Fort Glenn, but can't find a stash for his gear.

Just another note for people trying to do this on Xbox if you're achievement doesn't trigger: 1. Get the proving knife first. 2. If you have any journey members in your posse, dismiss them first before going to Broken Steppe.
3. Then talk to the branded in the order that they show up in the quest log.

You need to have all previous 4 playable characters from story alive, to use during Onerist journey (fifth character). It's easy for Jane and Pigman. Werewolf is easier when destroying Blood moon at the end of his journey. Native Across Rivers was trickiest as I missed something between the lines. I had kept him alive (not become Windigo) but in Onerist journey he dissapeared. When you go to his village Thriving Place and ask around they will tell he's in Fort Glenn where is mutiny. Upon arriving he's nowhere to be found. When you leave he'll die. You need to get to cell/holding area and there is couple of graves, in one corner. You'll hear muffled voice. Just dig him out. Then play game and you can't miss this if you have all of them alive.

How in gods name do you recruit the wolf in the last chapter if you did not destroy bloodmoon . I go to absolution hall and get attacked immediately . All other characters are alive . I’m also experiencing a glitch where my objective is to “ tell the branded pig man about my vision “ but there is no option to do so at all.

I could add these to other guides comments but I wrote too much 😅. After you read them you can read mine to clearify the situation.
When I start to play chapter 5, like at other chapters beginning I went to get back other main characters in my posse. (Note: I didn't become a windiigo with Protector and I destroyed the Blood Moon with werewolf.)
1. I didn't see any marker on map about Protector (Between Water), (I tried both werewolf ending and nothing change on map.) I think that I can't take back him to posse and I would leave him until I see these guides 😅 (and check achievements)
2. After dreams, before starting to main quest (for dagger at Valerian Temple and other place broken steppe)
MY FIRST TRY;
a. For my first member Devotee (Desiderio Rios, werewolf), I went to Absolution Hall. There was a short scene just like in chapter 4 with gathered werewolfs to attack blood moon Temple. I sneak into the basement and saw my post member with red sign on it like enemy. I saw the dagger too behind him. I took the dagger and left Absolution Hall without seen. I though that I can't get back him like protector.😅
I took dagger and without making the second main mission.
b. For my second member Pigman (Cl'erns Qui'g), I went to Cedar Flat. There was a cutscene too like at Absolution Hall. I tried to cut loose him from captivity but all town begun to attack me and I attacked them too. (it was my fault to not listen all of them Who is standing near that area, I wrote that "MY SECOND TRY")
c. I looked the scene at Cedar Flat. I didn't go to Bounty Hunter. I choose to load my save from the beginning of chapter 5 👍🏻
MY SECOND TRY
First I went to Valerian Temple to take back the dagger (at my first try I took it from werewolf zone). After taking back the dagger I choose to get back other members like always.
a. For first member Bounty Hunter (Kane Bell) I choose to go Bell Stead. I walked 3 or 4 days to reach there because I couldn't buy any horse (because you can just buy horses at two town "Crackle and Snakespring"). I got back her to my posse and bought a horse. (NOTE: At the ending of the chapter 4, before inserting the last orb transfer your items to your Horse so you can take them back quickly with this try. 😎 But it is not very important, because in chapter 5 main missions you are not fighting too much)
b. For second member Pigman, I went to Cedar Flat with my horse (all items) and posse members.(after 5 or 6 days from the beginning of chapter 5) This time I listened surrendering members of the town and saw that they say "Pigman is not guilty, they want him released 😮, but can't do anything. Because there is 3 outlaws who is stopping them to release the Pigman from captivity. After this conversation, I understand the assingment. I shoot the air at the edge of map near the house so outlaws can hear the shoots and will come to investigate it. It worked. I seperated them from the area then knocked them without seen anybody. (NOTE: Don't knock or kill town people, because it lowers your reputation.) Just take down 3 outlaws so you can untie Pigman in that crowd. So I took back my second member.
c. For Third member Werewolf, I went to Absolution Hall after one week or ten days from the beginning of chapter 5. It was abandoned place at that time. My member was there. When I talked to him he said that he destroyed the blood moon. At this time I understand that at the beginning of chapter 5 was the ending time of chapter 4. With him joining my posse I took all my money, nimp relics and golden aces of spades that didn't used until at that moment.(these items can be taken from the last played character before that chapter)
d. I went to directly to Fort Glein, because I had read the guides sry me 😅 But at the last mission when I need to gather them all for rituel Jane Bell Said to me that Protector was at the Fort Glein and Pigman too Said that. Anyway I rescued him from the grave without seen.
That all from me 😁. You have all of them without fighting.
